19.01.2022 With Bathurst approaching I want everyone to take a moment to remember our great buddy Jason Richards who did his very last race at Bathurst in Touring Car Mast...ers in 2011 in his amazing life. This pic shows the great joy we all had. They parked in the pits and stayed in a Sunliner Motor home and loved it. Thanks to Supercars for the help. Jase was busy with BJR as an advisor and jumped between that and Tony Hunter's Chev engined Monaro TCM car. Thanks Tony for that help and compassion. He had a ball and the smile on his face made us teary!! It was a special time for us all. RIP Jase X JB See more

17.01.2022 A fantastic two days with Fastrack V8 Race Experience at the Sandown international track, which I love incidentally!! It has real history from Fangio to Brock ...to Whincup. Over the two days I covered 325 laps taking lovely folks for John Bowe Ride Experience hot laps. I love doing it and I think the people love it too!! My special moment today was being able to take my gorgeous little buddy, Sienna Richards for hot laps. Charlotte's mum and dad we’re visiting from the UK too. Lovely people!! As you all know her late daddy Jason was my good friend and her mum, also my good friend, asked if I could do it now Si Si is tall enough! She loved it thank goodness. Was not scared and really dug the experience. I suspect it’s in her gene pool. Ha ha! I think we should think about getting her into karting. Any advisors or sponsors among you?? I love my days with Fastrack V8 Race. Check out their website and book with me for next year, which includes Bathurst, the holy grail of hot laps! And let’s vote Sienna Richards for karting!!! 05.01.2022 Tasman Karts has had a very special Christmas eve with Jason Richard's family at his home kart track Kartsport Nelson NZ. We were very honored to have Jason's w...ife Charlotte and his two daughters Sienna and Olivia share a night with us running some laps and setting some great lap times at Kartsport Nelson. Competition was fierce with all 3 wanting bragging rights on who was going to be fastest. All enjoyed driving the X5 and had a special connection with driving on the track that Jason learned his race craft through the 1980s and 90s. It was great to spend some time with them in the club rooms are share some stories and memories of Jason afterwards. Charlotte and the girls are here in New Zealand visiting Jason's parents over Christmas who were watching on some special moments tonight. All 3 girls are very keen to come back in November 2020 to compete in the Jason Richard's GP next year. Tasman Karts would like to thank Kartsport Nelson for the use of the track tonight. For the record.... Mum came 3rd!!! 03.01.2022 A SPECIAL HOLDEN CAR, DRIVEN BY A SPECIAL HOLDEN STAR TCM founder Tony Hunter built five cars during his 13 years in the category, all of which were 'GM' produc...ts. His distinctive orange and yellow HQ Monaro GTS was central to one of the most memorable moments in TCM history. It is the car that the late Jason Richards drove in a famous one-off appearance at Bathurst in 2011, when Hunter generously offered the seat to his fellow Kiwi for a special weekend on the Mountain. In a truly inspirational performance, JR finished second in the final race and reset the TCM Bathurst lap record - an achievement which, like many of Jason's moments in a racecar, will remain with us forever.
