15.01.2022 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT - This concerns all Licenced Security Officers. This is regards to adding functions on your licence. For example Cash in Transit, C...rowd Control, Dog Patrol. A BIG THANK YOU to SDS Training and Security for relaying this information. Please share this to your fellow colleagues or friends in the Security Industry. This does not apply to Triennials or Crowd Controls Refreshers Where a Security Officer that has an existing license for some time before January 2020 and wants to add this to their license they will need to complete the entire certificate CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations course with the addition of the units they require for Crowd Control, Cash in transit, or Dog Patrol. This was last updated as of the 2nd March 2021. Previous Training and experience is not being recognised. Bodyguard function is now CPP31418 Certificate III in Close Protection Operations. Example - Peter has been a licenced Security Officer for 15 years and wishes to get Cash in Transit endorsed on his licence. Peter will need to complete CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations with the additional Cash in Transit modules. If you currently have any of these functions on your licence, please keep your licence current, if you do not, you could lose these for good. THIS DOES NOT AFFECT LICENSES ISSUED WITH THE CPP20218 CERTIFICATE II IN SECURITY OPERATIONS. Before adding a function to your existing licence and you haven't undergone your training yet, or if you are a little confused, feel free to contact us on 0457027390 or email - [email protected].
