The Camfield Mega Pub recently constructed by PACT Construction has 175 beer taps and room for up to 4000 patrons. Crown Towers opened in Dec 2016, constructed by Multiplex has 500 rooms, many of which overlook the Swan River and the city.

He took the time from his speech today to say hello and even signed my original copy of his book I bought in 2004. I hope my body language was communicating how happy I was.

05.01.2022 What a load of rubbish, and it’s all yours. This is being recycled and lucky it’s not going into landfill. I had the honour of having a behind the scenes tour recently at Cleanaway state of the art Material Reclaiming Facility in Perth (recycling plant to you and me). I was inspired to share some footage with you I took from the tour to give you an insight into the scale of the operation and to highlight how important it is for the future to get our recycling correctly sorted... and put in the correct bins. I was amazed at how much non recyclables people throw into their recycling bins (I am also guilty of this). The whole facility is automated but the biggest labour and time problem they have is the stuff that we all throw into recycling that shouldn’t be there. You’ll see from the video the skilled workers who’s job it is to continually remove the rubbish we put into these bins that cause problems for the machines. Items I saw with my own eyes were car batteries, a tennis racquet, a drill, pizza boxes with food inside (you need to empty your tins and boxes before you despise of them) and just the sheer amount of neglect that people go through when throwing away their trash and recycling. I learned so much at this tour and would like to remind us all of what we can and cannot our into our recyclables: Cardboard, cartons and pizza boxes cross waxed cardboard Remember to flatten cardboard boxes and remove food from pizza boxes Newspaper, paper, envelopes and junk mail No shredded paper Milk cartons No silver lined UHT cartons Remember to rinse cartons before recycling Glass bottles and jars cross window glass, crockery or light globes Remember to rinse jars before recycling and remove all bottle tops and lids Plastic milk and soft drink bottles, detergent and shampoo bottles cross poisons or hazardous chemical bottles Remember to rinse all bottles and remove lids from bottle Steel, aluminium and aerosol cans crossother metal household items such as saucepans, car parts, wire or gas bottles Remember to rinse off any food and remove lids and nozzles from aerosol cans and place lids See more
