23.01.2022 Take a drive half hour in a westerly direction from Gloucester and you will arrive in the quaint little village of Copeland. The village lays in a valley at the foot of the Copeland Tops and the area is steeped in history. Back in the 1800's they mined gold from the hills and today there are still numerous mine shafts and hints of those bygone days dotting the landscape. The area is managed today by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife and from the picnic area alongside Cop...eland Creek there are a couple of walks through the forest where you can still see glimpses of the mining history. You can also book to take the guided tour to Mountain Maid mine. With the rain we have had the area is beautiful and lush, the creek flowing with crystal clear water cascading through the valley. I invite you to come on this photo journey of Copeland SCA. Enjoy. See more

16.01.2022 Wow what a morning, a 0230 firecall, then on the road at 0400 to be on location in Forster for a client, back home and 3 hours of editing. In the middle of all that I managed to squeeze in some personal photography. Please enjoy the following images. Oh and my next blog post will be going up on the website on Sunday, this fortnight I will be focusing on some photography guidelines to help you get better images.

10.01.2022 Fantastic morning shooting at the Colour Beyond Blue Gloucester fun run. As someone who suffers with mental health conditions, it was great to donate my time in helping out this worthy cause.

08.01.2022 It has been 12 months since the Mid Coast fires devastated the region with unprecedented fire behaviour. To put it into perspective you just have to run the numbers: 122 days under Section 44 declaration 420,000ha of bushland burnt more then 30% of the region 151 homes 317 outbuildings lost 73 homes 151 outbuildings damaged... Over 1500 homes 1200 outbuildings saved 26 emergency alerts issued during a seven day period in early November Koala population near on wiped out. In eighteen years I had yet to hear a single red or emergency message broadcast, that 20hrs in Tinonee and later in Wallabi Point I heard more red messages broadcast then anyone should in a lifetime of firefighting. How we didn't lose crews or trucks still baffles me. Today I took a drive back through the fireground, got some images of the regeneration and regrowth, sadly some areas are still a moonscape, a testament to the ferocity of the blaze. Please look through the following gallery of images and reflect upon what was an unprecedented and devastating summer of 2019/20 See more

08.01.2022 Patient transfer carried out in Gloucester this afternoon with Westpac Rescue AW-139 VH-ZXD "Ena" having to land on Philip Street due to the oval being too wet. Transfer carried out smoothly despite the rain. Wishing the patient a speedy recovery. Enjoy.

01.01.2022 A little visitor we had the other day, successfully released back into the creek.
