22.01.2022 Summer begins next week which means (at least) two things: the cherries begin to get juicy, sweet and ready to pick, and ya’ll need to get your hair done before Christmas and 2020 seeing us off into the new (and improved ?) year of 2021. The studio is open various days for appointments from now till Christmas Eve, get in touch with me via DM to book in! ... @rams.aye

11.01.2022 After this week planting our Chenin and Cabernet Franc vines, netting our best cherries for picking next month, finishing earthworks ready for the winery build starting next week, planting the summer veggies, navigating the seesaw of lockdowns and unlockdowns, working hard in the searing heat with an amazing team of peeps, a cold pet nat on the hill never tasted so good.

08.01.2022 These farm kids need some fresh ocean breeze and a big dive into the turquoise sea. We are taking a vacay in our seaside heart home, dreaming and planning for the year ahead, creating intentions for the farm and all the life within it. A social media break, a brain break, much yoga, reading, walking, swims, and catching in mouth many sandy sticks. ... See you later, alligators

03.01.2022 The cherries are beginning to blush and swell, as the days get longer we see the growth season in full swing. As beautiful as these orchards are, and the planting of vines for future wine, I often wonder how this land looked and felt before it was planted with European orchards, grasses, trees and flowers. Before there was irrigation and fencing and fire stick farming was the key method of preservation and regeneration. As we continue to care for this farm, we acknowledge, ...honour and respect the traditional custodians of this country, the Peramangk people. We honour their deep spiritual connection to this country and give our respect to elders of past, present and future. A continued reverence for the ancient history and ongoing knowledge of this land to which we call home. May we nurture the spirit of Country for the generations to come.

02.01.2022 Today saw the picking of our first cherries! This year we have a very small crop of cherries- perhaps 30% of the usual fruit. Over the springtime flowering and fruit-setting period, we had a lot of rain, wind and cold weather, which meant the bees didn’t get the chance to do their usual magic. Because of this our cherry picking list is fully booked for now, as we want to make sure to have enough to share! ... We have a wait list for the 3 days before Christmas, with confirmation on fruit quantity closer to the date. Email [email protected] for wait list. Lots of love, from team Jauma
