We prefer doing it this was to reduce creating support structures for the print. Instead the two halves are glued together to provide an accurate representation of what the final product will like. 05.01.2022 Mikuni RS34 carburetors are on and the throttle slack adjusted to allow for minimal play. Response should therefore be instant As you can see, we've gone for velocity stack options with these carbs. They look great and should allow this engine to breath a whole lot better. One thing does remain though... with stacks, we need to think of a way of preventing dirt from getting sucked in when riding. 03.01.2022 Loud exhausts are definitely appealing (maybe not legal though...) but sometimes they can just be plain too loud even for the common rev head. Here's a quick project we had for a recent customer wanting to shave off several db(A)'s. It's achieved by making a baffle insert (in 5 steps..or so) 1. Cut up a pipe to suit. 30mm is usually sufficient but it depends on your set-up. ... 2. Drill out perforations and cut out some baffles to fold within the pipe. The baffles will deflect noise outward and into the side walls or into sound deadening material. 3. Create a slip ring and a large baflle on one end. Weld together. Be sure that the slip ring and diamters match the inside of the exhaust outlet. If there's a gap you may get whistling noise. 4. Lag the baffle insert around the pipe with good quality sound deadening. Be sure to wear gloves and a mask. 5. Drill out a locating hole in the exhaust and weld on a nut. Do the same with the baffle insert. Lock it in place Bonus step: you can make a nice and easy exhaust tip cover by shaping some stainless steel grill or good quality mesh.
