12.01.2022 U12/1 MATCH REVIEW FKFC 3 v CC Strikers 2 With the season drawing closer to finals time Saturdays clash with CC Strikers had enormous importance for both... teams and their chances of figuring on Grand Final day Collaroy were 1 point ahead of Forest on the ladder after winning their first round clash and the boys were pumped to turn the tables. Playing on the field of dreams at Collaroy Plateau FKFC got off to a slow start and couldn’t gain any ascendency. After 15 minutes the boys were 2 nil down and looking a little concerned. One thing about this team is they never ever give up. A forest free kick was excellently floated in by Marko and Ryan beat the keeper to the ball with a sweet header into the back of the net. Forest were back in the hunt. The game seemed to be following Ryan. 30 seconds before halftime he was taken from behind in the box. Penalty Forest!!! Toby stepped up to the spot and the keeper went the wrong way as Toby blasted the penalty into the top of the net. Half Time 2-2 and Forest had the momentum A fast paced second half ensued with Forest awarded a free kick out wide on the edge of the box. Our Captain Marko calming set himself for the potential match winner. Collaroy set a 3 man wall. Marko moved in, curled the ball over the wall and top bins -goaaaallllll!!!! Forest 3-2 with ten minutes to go. A nerve racking final 10 minutes for players and parents saw a dramatic finish. Collaroy were awarded a free kick right in front with less than a minute to go. You could cut the sea air with a knife. Collaroy stepped up and blazed the shot over the bar. Forest hang on and win a thriller 3-2 and keep the finals dream alive. Well done to the entire team. Everyone played their part. Special mention to Toby in scoring his first goal of the year. The 12/1s are proudly sponsored by Lucky & Pep's Forestville , Jay Alcock First National Forest and CACE Partners. Match report by Lenny the Leprechaun

04.01.2022 New Sponsor Alert FKFC U12/1s vs Curly | Junior Feature Game Review | Saturday 8th August Powered by paylesstyres.com.au The highly anticipated top... of the table clash came to Melwood last Saturday with the Forest 12/1s taking on the undefeated boys from Curl Curl. The boys had trained hard all week and were primed for the match of the season. Curly got off to a fast start and had the better of the opening ten minutes. The FKFC boys then got into their rhythm with some sweet passing and were gradually starting to dominant possession. A couple of chances to LJ & Donnie just going wide of the net. Half time 0-0 Second half saw Forest continue to press with a few near misses. At the other end Curly delivered a beautiful corner with a free header sailing just wide- Curly’s only real shot on goal. With 30 seconds left Forest won a corner. The corner sailed across the open goal and agonisingly stayed out. Final score 0-0. The boys have had a great season so far scoring 22 goals and only conceding 1 with the best brick wall defence in the league. The boys know the importance of player appearances for their sponsors and after the game stopped by Payless Tyres and Brakes to say g’day to Chris and the team.
