19.01.2022 ROAD CLOSURES - COOLGARDIE-ESPERANCE HWY A number of roads have been closed for the two Bushfire WATCH AND ACT alerts for Coolgardie-Esperance Highway in th...e shires of Dundas, Esperance and Coolgardie. These include: Coolgardie-Esperance Highway between Coolgardie and Salmon Gums. Goldfields Highway both directions from Kambalda to Coolgardie-Esperance Highway Avoid the area and be aware of fire and emergency services personnel working on site. Reduce speed and drive carefully due to smoke. Road information may also be available from Main Roads WA by calling 138 138 or visiting www.mainroads.wa.gov.au OR by contacting your local Shire. Publication time: 09:04 PM, 22/02/19. A bushfire WATCH AND ACT has been issued for people travelling on Coolgardie-Esperance Highway, between Salmon Gums and Norseman, in NORSEMAN, DUNDAS and SALMON GUMS in the SHIRES OF DUNDAS and ESPERANCE. There is a possible threat to lives and homes as a fire is approaching in the area and conditions are changing. The fire is burning on the western side of Coolgardie-Esperance Highway and is in close proximity to the road WHAT TO DO: -If you are not prepared or you plan to leave, leave now if the way is clear. -If you are well prepared and plan to actively defend your home, make final preparations now. -If you are not at home, do not try to return as conditions in the area could be very dangerous BUSHFIRE BEHAVIOUR: -The fire is out of control and unpredictable. -It is moving in an easterly direction ROAD CLOSURES AND CONDITIONS: Avoid the area and be aware of fire and emergency services personnel working on site. 14.01.2022 Cancellation of severe weather warning for parts of the Lower South West, Great Southern 4:51 AM, 20/04/19 - the Bureau of Meteorology advises the severe... weather warning South Coastal and parts of South West and Great Southern districts has been cancelled as severe weather is no longer occurring. 11:09 PM, 19/04/19 - the Bureau of Meteorology advised a cold and unstable air mass with squally thunderstorms, heavy showers, and small hail over the south coast will ease early Saturday morning. 04:35 PM, 19/04/19 - Locations which may be affected include Albany, Manjimup, Margaret River, Mount Barker, Bremer Bay and Walpole. 10:43 AM, 19/04/19 - Bureau of Meteorology advises the severe weather warning Perth Metropolitan Area and adjacent parts and the Lower West district has been cancelled. The Parks and Wildlife Service at the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions has issued a bushfire EMERGENCY WARNING for people in Jarrahwood townsite in CITY OF BUSSELTON. You need to act immediately to survive. You are in danger and need to act immediately to survive. There is a threat to lives and homes. The fire started near the intersection of JARRAHWOOD MILL RD and ASHCROFT RD in JARRAHWOOD It is burning in a southerly direction towards Jarrahwood townsite. WHAT TO DO - If the way is clear, leave now for a safer place. - Do not wait and see, leaving at the last minute is deadly. - If your plan is to stay and actively defend, do not rely on mains water pressure as it may be affected. If you have access to a water tank and plan to defend your home, start patrolling with your hose and put out spot fires. - If you cannot leave, you need to get ready to shelter in your home and actively defend it. - If you are not at home, it is too dangerous now to return. - Close all doors and windows and turn off evaporative air conditioners, but keep water running through the system if possible. ----- AND ----- Bushfire WATCH AND ACT for south of Jarrahwood townsite in CITY OF BUSSELTON A bushfire WATCH AND ACT has been issued for people south of Jarrahwood townsite between Jarrahwood Road and Jarrah Log Road in CITY OF BUSSELTON.
