Tribe from South West Queensland. Lizzie is the Chief Executive Officer of Goolburri Aboriginal Health Advancement Co Ltd. Lizzie’s professional journey began with a nursing career ignited by a passion for improving healthcare outcomes for her people. This love to help others expanded into an amazing career that sees Lizzie now running a large Aboriginal Community Controlled Health and Social Care Organisation delivering a wide range of health, healing and wellbeing, oral health, aged care, disability care, early learning and child safety services across the Darling Downs and Western Queensland regions. Lizzie has grown Goolburri over the past 15 years from a 4 person fledgling service embracing self-determination to a large, effective Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation with over 80 employees delivering measurable outcomes for the people and communities they serve. Lizzie is also the Executive Director of the Jaydon Adams Memorial Foundation, set up in memory of her son. The Foundation seeks to address the social determinants that impact Aboriginal youths and families through participation and encouragement of individual and family decision making. 21.01.2022 Thank you to everyone that has supported the Foundation by purchasing doubles, this has been much appreciated and all funds go back into the Foundation to help with costs for events we participate in. The Foundation will be selling doubles again next footy season and there will be some definite rules around the doubles and posted on the page and sent to all that purchase doubles. We apologise for any confusion around the doubles, but are trying our best to rectify this issue so there is no confusion in the future. If you do not wish to purchase doubles but would like to support the Foundation, there is an option to setup a donation deduction to the Foundation which is tax deductible. Please contact Charnara Adams on 0408 275 648 to discuss.

06.01.2022 Appreciation Post before the end of Local Government Election for Toowoomba Region. A Thank You Message To Fellow Candidates and Voter's I want to thank you al...l from the bottom of my heart for your continued support through the sharing of information, recording of community events, removal of vandalised signs & most of all the friendships developed throughout this journey of mine. If I am successful in being elected to get a seat at the table for Toowoomba Regional Council I will represent the region wholeheartedly in the best interest of all the people & communities, however I am a realist & always have a Plan B - therefore if I am unsuccessful I will continue to do the same in an informal manner that I have always done in my work & personal life within our communities. Not sure about you all but as tough as I am I have been emotional & overwhelmed from the good lucks & well wishes of phone calls & messages received this morning. Those are from yourselves & the people of our communities. I may have met some of the well wishes once or I haven't met them at all, so I guess this indicates that the people are still listening to us even though we haven't been able to canvas ourselves in a normally run campaign. Even COVID-19 couldn't stop the peoples interest in us. Finally no matter the outcome for me, however I ask you this one (1) question "If you are successfully elected to the Toowoomba Regional Council & while sitting at the table please don't forget us, the most disadvantaged & most vulnerable people of this Region & believe it or not we love it just as much as you." Remember we also invest our money & living expenses into the local business & economy of this Region." Thank you all for being on this journey with me I shall never forget it 28th March 2020
