24.01.2022 Murray, Rushy, Greg, Andrew and myself met up for sunrise on Monday 12 October. The forecast said it was going to be good conditions for a great sunrise. So we met up early and headed off to the Rock platform at the Haven. The sunrise did not disappoint at all.

21.01.2022 The Social Distance Sunrise Crew (Limited Edition) descended on Kilcare Beach on 23/5/20. It was a dark, threatening overcast morning with little about the morning that promised anything much. As always it was good to get out and capture the sunrise, such as it was. There were a sneaky few waves that nearly took me and my camera for a swim, and I was standing on the beach!... Here's my take on that long ago morning in May
19.01.2022 In July 2018 I was in South Africa doing a tour with my non-facebooking sister. This trip was a major bucket list for both of us. These images were taken in Chobe National Park on the safari boat tour with Pangolin Lodge, Chobe Hotel. On our boat trips we had a professional photographer, Charl, who helped us with camera settings and guided us around the park. The lodge opened on the day we arrived and whilst there were teething problems to being with, on a whole we reall...y enjoyed our time there and the opportunity to see some of the wildlife that Chobe offers. I highly recommend that if you ever get to Chobe that you stay at the Pangolin lodge and do some of their photographic tours. Charl was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The boats we had were specifically for photographers and had a chair that swivelled 360 degrees with a gimbal set-up to attach your long lens to, which also swivelled to allow you to photograph in different directions.
12.01.2022 A week later the Social Distance Sunrise Crew again descended on Kilcare Beach. Saturday 30/5/20 What a difference a week makes, barely a cloud in the sky and the rocks were all uncovered. The sand had been washed away by the storms during the week. Something that doesn't happen often. Here's my take on that morning in May
12.01.2022 The Crew was a cast of thousands today, and one new face. It was good to catch up with everyone again. A bit of a lack luster sunrise, but as always I looked for a foreground that captured my eye.
12.01.2022 On Sunday, 17/1/21 I met up with Carolyn & Sean and a few others to meet the Ospreys. It was a good afternoon, even if they Ospreys didn't want to fly much, or catch their dinner. There was a baby in the nest, who made a lot of noise, but Mum wasn't much interested in feeding it. Here's a few from that afternoon

04.01.2022 The Social Distance Sunrise Crew met up at Toowoon Bay on 6/6/20 to see what sunrise had in store for us. As always it was good to be out with the crew. Some wet moments and lots of laughs as usual. Not much of a sunrise, but that's nothing unusual either.... Here's my take on the morning.
04.01.2022 Sunset at Edgewater Park, Buff Point on 11 October 2020. The message went out amongst the Sunrise Crew, is anyone getting this sunset? So of course I jumped up grabbed my gear and hurtled down the road to the lake. I stopped just in time so the car didn't end up in the lake. Of course the sunset would have been better from the jetty as most of the colour was south west.... I hope you enjoy these images, it was so peaceful down by the lake with some ducks for company.
