12.01.2022 Hi guys.... An update from the boss!! We have done soooooo well with restrictions, thank you to all my wonderful customers who played by the rules as well as supported a local business. you mean EVERYTHING!! Good or bad news.....?... Bad news.... I NOW need to shut for a bit my anxiety went bit crazy as it as for ALOT if us but I decided it was an opportunity to review my medication.... side effects OMG. Mainly vertigo Some what related is my back pain... broke 3 vertebrate in a car accident years and years ago. Maintainance and pain management is as good as its gunna get, my dads a chiropractor for those that done know, I see someone here and has 8 + years of treatment.... these things happen and tighten up from time to time. Between the 2 Im not winning!! I seem to get one right then the other goes. Ive been stuffing around customers with needing to rebook due to discomfort or appointments Im attending last min to function. Now they want restrictions again...... soooo... ok ok I get it... slow down Laura.... so thats what Ill be doing. I plan to be up and running again of cause. 11.01.2022 Hi Guys! Just a quick note... but first congratulations for getting through the lockdown!! I hope everyone has been well and now getting back to "normal" Ok so yeah.... I suffer PTSD and anxiety. I also have a terrible back from a car accident when I broke 3 vertebrate.... I hate to explain myself and I'm doing it ALOT lately.... I get anxiety... I WISH it was generalized anxiety and it was easily controlled BUT it's not. It's very severe and it often goes with depression. The depression has been ALOT better but my anxiety has increased. I've got AMAZING things going on. My partner Corey is the best! We're engaged and will hopefully try to have a baby next year... something I've put off because of the business, physical and mental health. I'm 36 it's my turn. I lost so much of my life to survival. Working and trying to keep myself alive while I fight my brain that is trying to destroy me. I was assaulted... then I crashed my car and broke my back.... I get flash backs which make it REALLY hard as my offender was male and I have a male salon. Treating women isn't an option either. I don't like it, did it for 8 years, personal preference and haven't spent 13 years on it to be (what I think) the BEST salon in Geelong for men!! This was supposed to be a quick note.... oops those that know me know I talk! Lol. To conclude, I guess, I'm a fighter and still fighting this illness. New medication has allowed me to move forward. I put this off for years for the business. Covid gave me that opportunity. I am on a medication that will help my nervous system. It has caused vertigo, migraines and it's been pretty awful. I've had to inconvenience people and people I thought would be supportive I guess are getting over it. I'm sorry. But I'm not... I love you all but I have to do this. I love my business and call me selfish but I want to be able to get well AND have my business..... This is the deal at the moment. I'm unreliable.When im unwell I am REALLY unwell

03.01.2022 Hi guys.... quick update... I have 0 idea if I can open or not!!! Beauty salons can NOT open... this means no waxing services! We have been though able to preform IPL treatments because they are part of a treatment plan. Requiring customers to ONLY attend every 6 weeks.... (???) So Im confused... we can gather outside in groups of 5 but I cant treat IPL customers now?... no idea!! ... Ive messaged Christine cousins the local parliament lady to ask... unsure if Ill hear back. We also do hairdressing at jayk ... and they CAN open... I also work from home and we CAN have visitors now..... All signs point to YES I can work.... BUT I had a little visit from the local police last week... great ppl and lovely. Those that know me know the joys we have here with body Corp (unafraid to share my nightmare & warn others... have a giggle and share stories) So I dunno.....your guess is as good as mine. Feel free to text me on 0401261424 if you have any information (Ive looked up the health department website already ) This week Ill be closed for all laser and hair appointments... I guess until further notice... I will not yet believe we are (excuse my "french") screwed until November 22.... oh I didnt mention that bit.... On the flip side FYI... got time to finish the salon, organize promotions & get ready to come back with vengeance this summer!! Fingers crossed! Although this Covid "season has taken a toll on our mental health & effected us all Im confident we will all come back stronger then ever ... and you got me to help make you look good while doing it!!!
