Bird expert Darryl Jones from Griffith University: "He said if a person found a bird lying on the ground and it appeared to be dead or injured, it was still worth taking to a vet."... Cheers Jay

24.01.2022 A very sad outcome today, the owners dog got killed this afternoon by a Carpet Python in Buderim. They managed to seperate the snake from the dog and the snake took off. This evening the snake was back, hiding in one of the trees in their back yard. So they called me for a relocation. On my way down to the release area I came across a little Carpet Python, struggling on the road in the wet weather. A big thank you to a few Sunny Coasters who checked on me if I was alright ...in the pouring rain. 06.01.2022 **WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT** I have been called out for an injured Blue Tongue at Coolum Beach today, he is possibly been bitten by the callers dog. He was hissing and was trying to get away so it looks promising and he will hopefully make it. He is at the vet now. On my way up there I came across this smashed Carpet Python near the Sunshine Motorway. I have pulled him off the road to prevent that other wildlife gets injured.... 04.01.2022 Carpet Python found on her clutch of eggs in Peregian Beach today. She has been hanging around in their garden and went in and out under a concrete slab. I had a suspicion.. And indeed, she had some eggs to look after. That made it an extra amazing relocation! This beautiful 2 meter Carpet Python has been relocated to a suitable habitat nearby and the eggs have been brought over to the Australia Zoo - Wildlife Hospital and will be in the incubator until they hatch....
