15.01.2022 We are continually working with the Victorian Government to inform them of recent studies that show INDOOR POOLS ARE COVID SAFER! The Victorian Government have ...opened outdoor pools outside of Melbourne under the new direction, but we need them to go further and open indoor pools. Approximately 137,000 children will continue to miss out on developing their water safety skills every week while indoor pools are closed. Indoor pools are COVID Safer they can open now in a way that accounts for the health and well being of our community. Since COVID-19, drownings in Victoria are 300% higher than the average for the same period over the past 5 years, with 12 recently recorded drownings. Learn to swim is an essential service, and life skill which relies on pools (especially indoor pools) being open and able to operate.
