22.01.2022 A lot of people criticised the big battery before it was built, and many misunderstood what it was intended for - but a year on from its launch, experts all agree that it has outperformed expectations and provided vital stability services to the grid As Labor leader Peter Malinauskas says, it’s a triumph of renewable energy leadership and South Australians can be proud
21.01.2022 Will you join me in my next project? 22% of children going into primary school for the first time next year will be starting off behind - and that makes it so hard for them to reach their full potential. That’s why I’m so dedicated to my new journey as CEO of Thrive by Five! It’s a campaign calling for universal access to fully-resourced, high quality and affordable early learning and care, so that every child has the chance to learn through play. I’d love it if you would add your name to this Open Letter, calling for reform of the early learning system:
19.01.2022 Today I announced my intention to retire from the Parliament of South Australia. I has been an incredible honour to represent the people of Cheltenham for over 16 years, and for the opportunity to serve as a minister and as Premier throughout that time. I have been overwhelmed with kind messages from South Australians since the election in March this year, and want to thank everyone for their support.
17.01.2022 I'm looking forward to speaking at this event in Melbourne on April 6th. It's a conference to equip and inspire young Victorians to campaign for progressive change. If you're 15-35 and want to see a more progressive state and country, come along.
07.01.2022 Joe Szakacs has been chosen as Labor’s candidate for Cheltenham at the upcoming by-election. I’ve known Joe many years and am delighted that he will have the opportunity to get to know Cheltenham as I have over the past 16 years. I’ll be with Joe and Labor Leader Peter Malinauskas tomorrow morning from 11:30am at St Clair Village. I’d love to see you there
06.01.2022 If you're enrolled to vote in the Cheltenham electorate, remember there's a by-election tomorrow Saturday 9th of February, and voting is compulsory. I'm endorsing Joe Szakacs. He's local, energetic and will fight for our community.
03.01.2022 I’ll never forget running onto Footy Park in 1977 after Port Adelaide won their drought-breaking premiership. I was 13 years old and my favourite player was Russell Ebert. Our prison bar guernsey is a big part of our memories of our mighty club. I support the push for Port Adelaide Football Club to be permitted to wear the prison bars full time in 2020, to mark the Club’s 150th year anniversary. ... If you agree, sign the petition! #BringBackTheBars
