23.01.2022 You know what’s funny? I wanted to write a post about self-sabotage because it’s been on my mind today. Standing in my own way. Telling myself stories about why I can’t do that or can’t have that. Avoiding things that I know will make me grow, but it’s comfier to stay riiight where I am. Becoming so caught up in perfectionism that it actually means I procrastinate and don’t do anything at all. I made this image. I went to start writing, and I stopped. Because I couldn’t... say what I wanted to say perfectly. Then I looked at the image and realised I spelt Jazzy wrong. I quickly went to fix it. And I stopped again. Who actually gives a if I made a typo? So here’s me - being extra ‘Jazzy’ and letting go of perfectionism and posting it anyway. Growth is uncomfortable. Change is uncomfortable. But when I get out of my own way, my growth game is strong. I’ve proved that to myself multiple times. I can do it again, and you can too.

21.01.2022 Anyone else an overthinker? My brain is pretty skilled at running through EVERY possible scenario, and always arriving at the worst one in record time. 13.01.2022 A little doTERRA hack comin’ at ya... Do you throw away your empty bottles? Don’t do it! There’s still some precious oil in there even if it looks like it’s empty and no drops will come out! Grab a jar of epsom salts and put your empties inside. Voila! Scented bath salts ready for your next bath. The epsom salts will draw out any residue left in the bottle.... And then...still don’t throw out your bottle. You can wash it up, take the label off (if you want) and re-use it! How? Have a blend that you ALWAYS put in the diffuser? Make a big batch up using an empty bottle, put a sticker for each oil on it so you know what’s in it (write how many drops on the sticker if you want) and keep it next to your diffuser! Turn it into a pre-diluted roller bottle or spray bottle! You can remove the orifice reducer and replace it with a roller top or spray top. After sun spray? Pre-diluted immune blend? Have an oil that you use regularly and wish you had two of them so you don’t have to carry it around with you ALL the time? When you get a new one, split half into the old bottle. 08.01.2022 This combo is the bomb diggity for aches and pains. Mum’s done something funky to her knee and it’s got her walking funny. No idea what she’s done or how she did it, but it’s sore and puffy! Here’s what she’s doing for it ... These babies diluted in some carrier oil and massaged around the knee. Ice Blue Rub on top. Deep Blue Polyphenol Complex taken 1-2 times per day. It’s been two days of consistent use and her pain levels are going down, mobility is coming back and I can confirm that she is walking less funny. Oils hitting the spot again.

07.01.2022 Sometimes the enormity of the switches doTERRA has enabled me to make just hits me square in the face. I catch myself thinking about just how different life looked before doTERRA, and the amount of products I’ve replaced with a natural, environmentally friendly version. Medicine cabinet. 06.01.2022 I just had the most beautiful conversation with a 90 year old lady. She’s been struggling with very weak, stiff and sore wrists/hands. After our first chat, I gave her a sample of Copaiba to try to see if it would provide her some relief. After using it for the last few weeks she called me again wanting her own bottle. And boy is she excited for it to arrive! She even told me that sometimes when she massages it into her hands, she’ll then just cup her hands over her nose ...and inhale because it’s so incredibly calming. As hard as it can be running two businesses sometimes and dealing with my own anxiety, this is what makes it so worth it and reminds me how important it is to continue to share the power of these oils. 06.01.2022 Does diluting freak you out as much as it used to freak me out?! I used to get SO hung up on it to the point where I wouldn't use my oils because I didn't know how to apply them properly. Now that I understand WHY we should dilute, and have found some general guidelines to follow, it's easy peasy! Why should you dilute essential oils with a carrier oil? As essential oils are extremely potent, you want to dilute to protect your skin and avoid irritation. Essential oil...s are very volatile, so using a carrier oil to dilute them will help the skin absorb the oils. Hence why it's called a carrier oil - it helps to 'carry' the oil onto the skin. It's cost effective! You'll use less oil on a larger area. Diluting will NOT make the oil less effective. It will do the opposite as the oil won't evaporate before it's penetrated the skin. What carrier oils can you dilute essential oils with? Pretty much any vegetable oil! Some options are: Fractionated coconut oil (FCO) Avocado oil Grapeseed oil Jojoba oil What if you want to dilute straight from the bottle, rather than a 10ml roller bottle? Babies under 1 year: 1-2 drops of essential oil, 1 Tbsp of carrier oil Child: 1-2 drops of essential oil, 1 Tsp of carrier oil 12+ years: 1-2 drops of essential oil, 3 drops of carrier oil Tip! Many people (12+ years) find that filling a 10ml roller 1/3 full with essential oils and the remainder with carrier oil works well for them! Please remember that these are general guidelines. Because every individual is different, the dose will vary. Start with the lowest dose first and add more if needed! Apply to the bottoms of your feet first. Happy diluting!

04.01.2022 You know that feeling when you’re so worked up and literally nothing will calm you down? Yep, I’m familiar with it too. Enter Magnolia. Let me tell you something cool about Magnolia. It’s main constituent is linalool. We all associate Lavender as being calming and relaxing, yeah? It’s linalool that gives Lavender these properties. Lavender is 30% linalool. Magnolia? 71%. So you can imagine just how calming it is! Magnolia has the highest known amount of linalool in ANY ...essential oil. Anxious feelings, stress, panic, irritability, anger, shock... It’s amazing to use as a perfume (or PUREfume as I like to call it ) Monthly cycle support Respiratory support Like Lavender, it’s incredible for your skin. Irritations, wounds, scars! Sleep issues! Try Magnolia before bed. Due to it’s high concentration of linalool, it could make an effective insect repellent. Have you experienced Magnolia? What do you think?

03.01.2022 Simple. Natural. Swaps. Air fresheners were one of the first things we swapped to a natural, non-toxic version. It’s so simple and makes such a difference! It’s amazing what happens when you make that swap. Now whenever I smell a synthetic air freshener I get a headache and start coughing. You can’t tell me that’s healthy. And to think that just used to be the norm! Once you realise how crappy they make you feel, you also realise how freakin’ common they are. They’re ever...ywhere. Not just in the form of spays - they’re plugged into power points, mounted on walls, hanging from the mirror in your friends car. So, if you can avoid being exposed to them in your own home, why wouldn’t you? It’s so easy to make your own. 25 drops of your favourite doTERRA essential oils (I like to use Citrus Bliss & Purify, but you could use any refreshing combination you like!) 2 tbsp of witch hazel Top with water Shake before use and spray away! Depending on what size spray bottle you use, you might need to reduce or increase the amount of essential oil and witch hazel you use. Have a play and see what works best for you! doTERRA sell these ultra fine, continuous mist spray bottles via the US warehouse, but you can use any glass bottle to make your own. If you use a plastic bottle, make sure it’s a grade that is safe to use with essential oils.
