24.01.2022 Toyota VDJ79 Another VDJ in for a tune up, this customer has traveled from Gove for us to work some magic on his rig. Once again picking up some impressive Power and Torque. We also removed the fake EGR plate with the hole and fitted the correct one with software to match. After tuning this one she has gained almost 40kw and 80% increased Torque. ... 22.01.2022 Yamaha F175 Remap (Fly-By wire) Over the weekend, we had a F175 Yamaha from Katherine in for a custom tune. This customer had spent hours playing with props, moving engine height and even shifting all his weight from the front to the back trying to fix his planing issues. Unfortunately, the 175 was just under-powered to do the job, lucky for him instead of spending huge dollars on a re-power we were able to tune this engine safely over the 200hp mark. ... After running this one up stock we were very impressed to see it actually reaching target HP. It would seem the Yamaha’s electronic throttle models are able to hit more HP than their cable model brothers. As a result of our custom tuning, we were able to reach peak power of 206HP over the stock power of 175HP and a 20% gain in Torque. We safely tuned this engine on 95 octane. Check out how flat the torque curve is throughout the mid-range, this engine will now plane at a lower RPM and maintain plane during rough weather, without having to constantly play with the throttle. The boat gained over 10% in economy at cruising speed, this engine is on a fishing boat where speed wasn’t the end goal therefore it has been setup with a 4 blade prop for lift and thrust. However, if he wanted to swap to a 3 blade prop he would see some big speed gains out of this setup now. Need an ECU remap but don’t live near a reliable tuner? 21.01.2022 Toyota VDJ79 Remap First up today we had this older 79 in for a custom tune, bare in mind this car had 200 000km on it. After a few boost checks we were happy to feed it some fat. Afterer tuning this one she has picked up almost 100% increased Torque over standard. This car is incredibly smooth to drive and very clean, throughout the entire RPM range. What a weapon!! ...
