21.01.2022 John's vision, commitment and hard work taught the game and its beauracracy just how important qualified Sports Trainers are to, not just the game, but the players and their families. It was his vision and support from him and the NRL that started me on my Medic journey so many years ago. I dream of that prioritisation of safety and professionalism returning soon and the partisan, quasi-political positioning which has been preventing some great nationally accredited courses t...o be ignored for the sake of forcing all to use courses provided at limited sites and dates, by an 'exclusive' provider. Sports Trainers are more important than ever and concussion is the elephant in the room right now, but it has never been made harder nor more difficult by the beauracracy running Grassroots Rugby League to recruit and train new Sports Trainers. I'm usually not a fan of going 'back to the old day's ways', but John got it right and I hope that sooner, rather than later that vision and true commitment to the players in Grassroots Footy returns.
03.01.2022 Coaches and Club Volunteers & Leaders, you are not alone. One of the most important jobs of a Sports Trainer and Club Medic is to support you and the players. Never be afraid to bring, or keep me in the loop of any problems like this that arise. I am here to help and sometimes the different (neutral) medical angle can help more than you think.

01.01.2022 CTE is real. Concussion protocols save lives. I understand the mentality of competitive contact sports, but my Medic Tent is Switzerland and I always put individual's safety ahead of Team or Club trophy cabinets. https://www.theguardian.com//underbelly-of-sporting-psyche
