24.01.2022 Today's mission was to finish the preparation of the side decks and then lay down the reinforement patches for the strong points on the deck. 7 in total, each with 8 layers of 411 gram carbon. Some serious material to keep our winches and blocks where they should be. Video and work thanks to Alenka who will welcome her boat 'Linky' to our yard this week, another kit form boat, a mini 580 she will build over the coming months.

20.01.2022 Yesterday was a creative day. We sanded back all the panels on port side cockpit and put some faring in where needed. Gurit micro balloons. And then prepared the 410 carbon patches for the reinforcement around winches and strong points. This is the work we going to be doing today.

08.01.2022 This is our spot reinforced side deck. Hopefully find time tomorrow to lay 3 top coats of carbon. The white material is 'Peel Ply'. You lay it on top, it absorbs excess resin and when you peel it off you have a pre-sanded surface. Great tip from Sam at Gurit

04.01.2022 The bricks are back. New carbon then core on back half of cockpit upright. Tomorrow we'll strip rest of upright and see if we get to the re-core in one day or not. Will come down to quality of core left behind. Will it be rotten or still good. My bet is most of it is good till we get to front of cockpit, then rotten.
