15.01.2022 J/99 'Jedi' scores another stunning trifecta win racing offshore out of Royal Prince Alfred YC near Sydney. The top mark was 8nm offshore, conditions were light 5-10knots ESE. 'Jedi' was one of two boats sailing 2-up in the combined 18 boat fleet. 'Jedi' finished 1st overall combined Div 1 and 2 fleets in ORC, and 1st ORC and IRC in Div 2. ... http://jboats.com.au//j-99-jedi-scores-another-trifecta-w/

15.01.2022 INTRO TO TWO HANDED RACING: We’ve been practicing two-handed racing in our 32.6’ J/99 (JEDI) whilst joining in with fully crewed fleet from RPAYC Short Offshore Point Score (SOPS) series. Whilst Ray and I have sailed together for many years, we haven’t seriously raced two-handed since 2008 when we owned our J/109 Sweet Chariot. Rather than putting together a ‘race result’ story from last weekend’s SOPS race, I thought I’d share my thoughts on preparing for and racing two-u...Continue reading

08.01.2022 A great victory for the J/99, King of Blue at Les Voiles de Saint Tropez. The mixture of classic yachts with ultra-modern boats is the main characteristic of Les Voiles as its true "trademark". Organized over a week, from September 30 to October 8, this event offered to all participants a beautiful sailing cup in an exceptional environment. After 4 races covered in rather changeable weather, between beautiful weather with a light wind and more difficult weather with strong winds, King of Blue, a J/99 finished 1st in the general IRC E (1st on the races 1, 2, 4 and 2nd on the n 3). 06.01.2022 Just came across this nice little video of J/88.se (Jonas Dyberg) from last years Midsummer Solo Challenge, a 213nm overnight race for singlehanded sailors in an around the famous, picturesque, archipelagos of Sweden on the Baltic Sea. Jonas won his division in this years event. https://youtu.be/86HpWXEG6h4

04.01.2022 * SEAHORSE had the opportunity to speak with one of J/Boats co-founders, Rodney Johnstone, as part of the "innovators" series in the sport of sailing. Thanks to writer Carol Cronin and SEAHORSE for this awesome interview! The most broadly successful performance yacht designer of the last 35 or so years has achieved that status through a laser-like ability to lock onto the requirements of a target market and then deliver the ideal product for it and which also works off the shelf.
