21.01.2022 Follow up question. Should you? I polled you all on my story last week to see how many of you weigh yourself daily.... I was honestly surprised by the response. 100% no. Good surprised. Mostly. It shows me that the tide is turning, people are more aware of how volatile they scale can be. But what if I told you, maybe weighing yourself daily might be a better idea than weekly? The big fad diet companies certainly put all of their eggs in one basket and have you weigh yourself weekly. Most of my clients do as well. But is that the best way? Short answer; that depends. Confused yet? You came here looking for an answer to how often should you weigh, and I’ve yet to give a definitive. That’s because my answer, as boring as it might be, is honestly that depends. It depends on you. How often you step on the scale is all about what is going to help you most. We know weight fluctuates day to day, and so if you only weigh once a week that might be really disheartening if for a few weeks you don’t see much or any change. Or even and increase. On the other hand weight fluctuates daily and, therefore, weighing daily can, be demotivating when you see up and down day to day. How frustrating! How do we balance this then? I have a few rules you can follow. 1. If you weigh once a week. Make sure it’s at the same time on the same day each week. And take a record of it, look for a downward trend over time (a month or more) 2. If multiple times a week. Each day must be the same time of day and you should take an average. Then record it and look for a downward trend over time. 3. Use other methods to track your progress. Photos, measurements, how your clothes fit. 4. Your self worth is NOT measured by the the scale. Ever. #postpartumcare #postpartumdiet #postbabybodies #losingweightthesmartway #healthymamatobe #postbabycomeback #busymomlifetips #covidworkoutplan #burnfatgainmuscle #healthymamafood #homefitness #caloriesmatter #healthymomshappybabiesprogram #losingweightformenotyou #losingweightwhilebreastfeeding #femalefitnesstrainer #losingweightonabudget #healthyeatinggroup #fitmamasfoods #fitnesstrainer

21.01.2022 No amount of cardio is going to give you booty gains You could spend the rest of your life on a treadmill and your booty will still be as flat and shapeless as a piece of A4 paper. The problem is, everyone focuses on fat loss.... When what you really want. The one thing that’s going to give you that body confidence you deeply desire, is resistance training. I promise that the body you imagine every day, the tight, toned, lean body that oozes confidence? Will only ever be achieved through consistent resistance training. Don’t let yourself be blinded by a narrow goal. Make this journey about more than a number on a scale. Build a journey that gives you a chance to celebrate the amazing things your body can achieve. Set yourself goals, and work your way towards a body composition change. A body composition change that will bring you far closer to body you love than any amount of cardio ever could. #fatlosssecrets #weightlossdiet #healthyeatinghabits #homefitness #losingweightonabudget #fatlosstips #notadietbutalifestyle #homeworkouts_4_u #iworkout #fatlosstipsandtricks #weightlossprogress #fitmums #fattofitagain #weightlosshelpers #postpartumfitnesschallenge #realfoodsource #weightlosshelpthatworks #weightlosshelps #realfoodsheal #wellnessmamablog

20.01.2022 3 lessons we can learn about fat loss from the presidential election. 1. Slow and steady wins the race. Things looked bleak for Joe early on. Don had flown out of the blocks to an early lead. ... would have been easy for now to throw in the towel and quit. Clearly he was not going to win. But he stayed the course, spoke with his advisers, and trusted the process. when it comes to fat loss you must do the same. Let Karen run away with quick results upfront. Because when you stay on track, listen to your coach, trust the process. You will come out way ahead. 2. Don't listen to the hate. Don, his supporters and legal team are now pushing all kinds of rubbish to try and take Joes win away from him. Unfounded accusations and bullying. They won't admit they got it wrong. Instead, they look to blame everyone else Joe is better than that. He knows not to let it get him down. He blocks out the hate, celebrates his success and moves on. Don't let bitching, moaning and hate from Karen bring you down when she fails. She is just bitter that her pills and shakes didn't work. you focus on your win, block out the hate. 3. don't compare yourself to anyone else. Joe ran his own race, based on his own morals and own goals. Joe did Joe. He would never have been successful if he tried to emulate Don. Joe needed to do what works for him. fat loss is not a 1 size gits all. Of you want teal success do what works for you. Do what fits in your life. Don't copy anyone else. and as a bonus. 4. The male equivalent of a Karen is a Donald. #weightmaintenance #pregnantworkout #pregnancyhealth #postnatalworkouts #returntoexercise #getstrongathome #busymomfitmom #burnfatgainmuscle #bodyweightworkoutout #burnfatfaster #diethelp #weightlosshelp #notadietbutalifestyle #weightlosssupport #fatlosstipsthatwork #resistancetrainingspeciaist #losingweightforbaby #fitwomen #losingweightonabudget #healthyeatingplans

14.01.2022 As someone who was overweight for a large portion of my I can tell you that being overweight is fucking hard! A lot of that hard comes from the daily struggle to love your self, and feel confident in your own body. So much so that we often forget about, or put aside the other hard parts.... The chronic health issues that come with being overweight or obese. The chronic health issues that make every day a literal struggle. One such chronic disease, hear disease. Being overweight and obese, makes your fat more likely to suffer from heart disease. And far more likely to suffer a heart attack or stroke. The simple fact is, overweight and obese individuals, put way more strain on their heart. The heart works way harder to pump the blood around your body. You can take actions to help it out. Here are 7 of them. And you will notice number 3 is maintaining a healthy weight. Make sure you hit the share button to keep this for later. #weightlosshelp #healthymamashealthybabies #momworkouts #weightlossadvice #fitmomproblems #fitwomen

13.01.2022 You’re just asking for failure. You’re using food as a reward instead of taking opportunities to enjoy opulent food. Eating the nearest snack that was just ok instead of saving up for that one special date night meal that doesn’t come around nearly often enough.... Doing this only reinforces binge behaviour. Treat yourself is fantastic, but please make it count. Don’t use food as a reward. Make room to enjoy opulent food when it matters to you. Stop grabbing the nearest thing for the sake of stuffing your face as a reward #weightlossblog #wholefoodcookingeveryday #strongmomlife #nutricrew #simplenourishedliving #nutritioncoachtips #postpartumfitnessguide #fitnesschick #fatlosstipsthatwork #nourishedmums #fitwomen #realfoodsmom #momswholift #fitmama #losingweightthesmartway

07.01.2022 Last Friday @lauren.kate.baxter and I got out for our first baby-free date night. We ate all the food. Drank all the drinks.... Inhaled all the Gelato (not pictured) And we fucking enjoyed it! There was no guilt, no thoughts of having to punish ourselves with a workout or starve ourselves. We enjoyed an opportunity to ea opulent food and treated ourselves. Because life is short! Baby-free date nights don't come around often enough. Please do yourself a favour a make room in your plan for enjoying moments like these without guilt. Diets should not be void of fun food. If you plan ahead, nights like this, when they come around are possible. And if your current plan doesn't have room for this? Get rid of it and fire your coach. You can thank me later. #babyweightloss #covidworkout #covidfitness #workoutsforbusymoms #familytimequalitytime #momworkouts #postbabyproblems #burnfatwhileyousleep #covidworkoutchallenge #pregnancyexercises #postnatalfit #postbabyweightlossjourney #healthymamahappybabies #healthymamashealthybabies #postbabyfit #healthymoms #weightlossdiet #fatlossblog #strongwoman #nutritioncoachingtips #losingweightafter30 #femalefitnesstrainer #nutritioncoaching #weightlosshelpfromhome #losingweightformenotyou #healthierme #nourishedmums #healthymomsandbabies #fattofitagain #losingweightforababy

06.01.2022 Are you getting enough protein in? If you are solely focused on calories when it comes to fat loss, I’m sorry to say, you’re leaving behind a crucial ingredient to having a toned body. Fat loss is great however it won’t leave you with the toned look you desire.... Not on its own. Whether it’s booty goals, or fitting back into the pair of jeans. You need to build lean muscle as the fat comes off. We call this a compositional change. Simply put, swapping unsightly fat for toning and shaping the areas you care about. You can NOT do this without sufficient protein. Getting sufficient protein for most can be difficult. Here is a cheat sheet of 12 foods high in Protein. 04.01.2022 You’re placing your blame in the wrong place. You blame your metabolism before inconsistency and poor reporting. After this your blame your coach.... Some of you blame your genetics. Hate to break it to you, if you’re not losing weight. You need to look closer to home. Accept some blame yourself and work on fixing things. Where should you start looking I hear you ask? Here are 9 places to get you started. 1. Too many calorie dense foods. 2. Not tracking your intake. 3. You ‘forget’ about Friday-Monday. 4. Overestimate calories burned. 5. Not enough nutrient dense foods. 6. You use food as a reward for exercise. 7. Underestimate food portions. If you want a reality check go and measure out a single serving of peanut butter. 8. Calories in alcohol. 9. Too many takeaway foods. #postpartumanxietyisreal #pelvicfloorexercises #absafterbaby #mumtraining #bodyweightworkout #burnfat #workoutsforbusymoms #momworkouts #postbabyproblems #burnfatgainmuscle #bodyweightworkoutchallenge #postnatalpersonaltrainer #postnatalfitnessinstructor #postbabybodies #busymomlifestyle #workoutanywhere #homefitness #fitnesstips #healthyeatingguide #weightlosshelps #homeworkouttutorial #weightlossprogress #fitnesstrainer #weightlosshelpfromhome #fitmamasfoods #momworkoutideas #homeworkoutvideos #momworkouts #healthyeatinggroup #wellnessmamablog
