17.01.2022 **UPDATE** I have been in contact with the owners! Thank you all for sharing Are any of my friends in discussion pages for Kwinana/Rockingham/woodman point/nort...h Coogee? I found a set of wedding rings on a stainless steel d shackle while snorkelling out at woodman point engraved with 2005.8.10 Mika and 2005.8.10 Mark. Id really like to get them back to their owners, it doesn’t look like they were dropped long ago as there is no staining or anything. See more

11.01.2022 A timely reminder of how quickly things can go wrong, even for experienced sailors. Within seconds of losing the keel this cruiser was over with sailors in the water. No time to grab EPIRB, flares or jackets. Thankfully a spotter on the beach at the club saw what happened, raised the alarm, and was able to flag down a nearby motorboat to get quickly to their aid. Everyone is OK (battered, bruised, tired, but OK), the boat is back at the club, and work being done to get it ...back onto its trailer. Then the search for the keel will start :P Well done and thanks to all involved in the rescue and salvage operations. Its times like this we really appreciate the Marine Safety we have available locally, and the comradery of club members. It's also a reminder that life jackets are not for decoration - wear the damn things! See more

05.01.2022 National Powerboat Handling course this Saturday at the club. This was organised with YWA for Sailing Instructors to complete their training, but we have some limited spots available. Attendees should already have their Rec Skippers Ticket. This course is part of the National Safety Boat Operator's course that we would like to get some of our regular vollies through this year :) So if you regularly volunteer and keen to up-skill and get a National qualification, or are needing this course for other qualifications, please contact us ASAP :D
