15.01.2022 Happy New Year.

15.01.2022 I know I'm not alone here. If I've got a book, I can get through anything. I once had to sit in an airport for 9hours. I read Dear Fatty by Dawn French. Oh and ate a dozen Krispy Kremes, but that's another story.

13.01.2022 If you've ever wondered why books take so long once they've been finished, and someone agrees to publish it...

13.01.2022 Right. Write. Probably going to need to warm up the creativity pot. I'm currently lying flat on my back, thanks to an inflamed disc. This should be interesting........ Instagram Image: A piece of paper on a brick wall that reads, you can't edit a blank page.

12.01.2022 Happy Boxing Day. It was traditionally a day off for servants, and the day when they received a special Christmas box from their masters. 06.01.2022 Or, in my case, even 3rd draft!

06.01.2022 The Stella Prize shortlist was announced today. And, I'm ashamed to say, I haven't read any of these titles yet. Have you? Where should I start? ... (image courtesy of Dymocks)

03.01.2022 So the last 3 days I have been madly editing the opening chapters of my novel for submission. It's currently winging its way to my awesome beta-readers before I hit send to the agent. Today I even let my Mum read it. It's a strange phenomenon letting people who you know read your work. ... I have always maintained that writing is a glimpse inside someone's thoughts. A very personal look at what is going on in our imagination. Now I need to busy myself with other things to await their response.
