24.01.2022 A beautiful day for our athletics carnival. The sun was out and the quality of the athletes was very impressive especially in the track events. Well done to all the students who participated and particularly those who were award a place.

20.01.2022 Congratulations to all the award recipients from this evening’s 2020 HSC top performers held by the Cultural Forum Sydney at Kogarah High School.

18.01.2022 2021 Swimming Carnival Once again, Sans Souci Leisure Centre was the host of the James Cook Boys Technology Swimming Carnival held on Thursday, March 11th. The House spirit and enthusiasm from all participants went a long way to making the carnival a success. Solander came out strong in the battle for the Allan Kentwell House Shield finishing first at the carnival ahead of runners up Hicks. The novelty events provide an increased level of engagement and enjoyment for our st...udents whilst not performing in the main swimming events. In the main events students displayed many impressive individual performances, with Jackson (Year 8 Green) standing out, placing in all three of the events he entered. A huge thank you to all of the staff and students of James Cook Boys Technology for their efforts; to the PDHPE staff for their professional running of the day; and, to the staff of Sans Souci Leisure Centre for their assistance and use of such an excellent facility. 07.01.2022 Today for the last day of term we provided the students and staff with some alternative activities. Mr Hadges coordinate our whole school Easter morning tea. Our year 7 students needed to demonstrate their knowledge and collaborative skills to access their Easter egg rewards. And we finished the day with a Teacher Vs student T ball game. Congratulations to the students who were the luck winners of our Easter raffle prizes. Happy Holidays to all our community and thank you for all your support during the term.

01.01.2022 Dear parents/carers, I hope you are all well. Earlier this week new guidelines were published to schools around mitigating the risk posed by COVID-19 to our school communities. Please see the information below which is an extract from the website listed at the bottom of the page. In accordance with advice from NSW Health (https://www.health.nsw.gov.au//P/cho-advice-education.aspx), parents and carers are reminded NOT to send children to school if they are unwell, even if t...hey have the mildest flu-like symptoms. Schools will make arrangements for students who present as unwell or have flu-like symptoms to be sent home. NSW Health have requested that schools encourage anyone who is unwell or has even mild flu-like symptoms, to arrange to be tested through their local medical practitioner or one of the COVID-19 clinics (https://www.nsw.gov.au//how-to-protect-yourself-an/clinics). Students and staff with flu-like symptoms will need to provide a copy of a negative COVID-19 test result before being permitted to return to school. Schools are not required to conduct widespread temperature screening or mandate the wearing of a mask. https://education.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/advice-for-families I appreciated your cooperation to ensure that we work together to make our school and community a safe place. Should you have any questions please contact me. Yours sincerely Mr Marciniak Principal
