25.01.2022 I had a great time doing the wedding ceremony for this beautiful couple. Again, the weather wasn't on our side, but that didn't stop us from having a ball! The ceremony was relaxed and fun and the after party was totally off the hook!! Kylie and Tegan you were amazing to work with & you both pulled off a FABULOUS wedding! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day! It's one I'll remember for a long time!

25.01.2022 With all that's happening it's kinda hard not to ask or be asked, "R U OK?" I wanna ask everyone to take the time out to ask somebody, "R U OK?" Please don't just stop at R U OK, cos many of us will automatically say, "yeah, r u?" Make an effort if! I also want to request that we accept or try to accept that it is ok NOT to be ok. ... My truth is that I have been through HEAPS, just like we all have; however I am grateful that I am safe & well. I have experienced a roller coaster of emotions like never before! But trust me when I say; your boy JC is gonna be back and when we're allowed imma cut a loose and dance with my couples like never before. I want to thank all my couples and their families who have been flexible and understanding as we've worked through dates changes for 53 couples so far. 25.01.2022 I was so honoured to walk into this engagement party and do the surprise wedding of Leticia & Bing to the shock of their family and friends! What makes Leticia and Bing so special to me, is that I met them at the wedding of Jordan & Tegan and I walked straight up to them after that ceremony and said. "Imma marry y'all". One year to the exact date; and here we are marrying the beautiful couple. Congratulations Leticia & Bing!

25.01.2022 My fur baby has been by my side through it ALL. Its hard to explain the sanity & happiness I feel having him close by! Ziggy is the first dog I have personally owned and its only now I truly understand what is meant by dog, a mans best friend. I couldnt help but to treat Ziggy to this juicy fresh Brisket Bone from The Pet Food Shop Geelong. (The best & friendliest in town). I dunno what this season of my life would look like without him.

25.01.2022 It's been a while since I have not married anyone on a weekend. So whilst I am slightly dismayed by the Pandemic, I am also thankful that it has caused me to slow right down. I have been reminded to refocus and appreciate the people and important small things I often overlook in my life. Being in lockdown with this Kid is pretty spesh and I wouldn't have it any other way! Big up to my fur baby Ziggy who is content as long as we are side by side! I LOVE HIM!

21.01.2022 I am happy that I met this couple at the Wedding & Bride Bridal Expo last year and I am honoured that they chose me to be their celebrant. I have enjoyed being a part of their ceremony planning and it's a proud moment when you actually see the planning and reheasal pay off. 21.01.2022 I had a great time marrying the beautiful Leticia & Bing at what was SUPPOSE to be their engagement party!!! 20.01.2022 I have performed heaps of ceremonies; and I have been told numerous times that I was born to do this! The truth is I really dunno if I was born for this, but what I do know for sure is that when I put on my blazer I MEAN business! Reading my crowd and ensuring everyone is engaged and having fun is something I have been gifted to do & my reviews is a reflection of this! 19.01.2022 Before COVID was classed as a pandemic and all the various rules implemented, most of us as celebrants stood off to the side for the duration of the ceremony! Please don't be offended when you see me in this position. I do come closer to help with vows & rings etc. but I spend more time on the sideline cheering y'all on. Likewise, heaps of us were already doing intimate weddings prior to COVID. I am saying all that to say, whilst COVID threw a massive spanner in the works ...causing uncertainty for all of us, it's so good to be back doing what I love again! Thanks to Samantha Lonergan & Tony for having me as your celebrant. I enjoyed working alongside you both! 18.01.2022 I had an amazing time seeing to it that Laura & Simon had fun as they legally said yes to each other! 17.01.2022 Not only did Hannah get a front row seat as a bridesmaid when I married her friend, but then it was Hannah's turn to be the bride and I got to do her wedding. I enjoyed working alongside this couple as they were really easy going and chilled. Not only did I enjoy the company of the couple but I enjoyed driving down the Great Ocean Road taking in the amazing scenery as I drove to the venue. I think I love Australia! 15.01.2022 One of the most common things I am hearing from my couples that initially approach me is that they want a relaxed and fun vibe during their wedding ceremony & reception!! I was recently asked what do I bring to a wedding ceremony and reception and I stopped to actually think, "What do I actually bring?"......... So, I read over what people said! Based on the opinion of 72 people on Facebook, 19 people on Google, and 22 people on Easy Weddings, here are just some of the word...s/terms used to describe me: Funny, amazing, professional, entertaining, unique, easy going, efficient, warm & calming, organised, exceptionally calming, great presence, fun loving, energetic soul, friendly, upbeat, relaxed. "He worked the crowd" "Our night ran smoothly" "He took our vision and went above and beyond" "Had our guests captivated" "Have never had so much fun" "He bring's fun, laughter and lightness to the ceremony" "He brought our crowd to another level" "He was made for this" "He was born to do this" I think the people have spoken! I am not prideful or arrogant, but I am honoured that I am gifted to bring this level of joy, happiness and excitement to your wedding ceremony and reception!

15.01.2022 I think this post may be somewhat confrontational for some; but, I promised to always be real and transparent even when its hard and close to home! I was watching my mom & dad's wedding video and I noticed something that I never noticed before. I guess the harsh reality once again hit home for me. My Dad look my mom in her eye whilst holding her hand and said, "until death do us part". Today, I totally respect my dad for the man he is and for the way he honoured the promis...es he made. My dad went the very last mile of the way with mom. What we have is two imperfectly perfect people who's relationship spans 43 years and a marriage that lasted for over 37 years. I am truly proud of my parents. I want to wish all the couples that I have ever married a LONG & HAPPY marriage! It can be done! RIP MJC

15.01.2022 No matter how big or intimate your wedding ceremony is, it is still special and meaningful. I said that to segue to; I ensure a fun/relaxed time during ANY and EVERY wedding. I was honoured to pronouced this couple married infront of their children and immediate family and friends. It was PERFECT. We had so many laughs in the short ceremony. 15.01.2022 2020 has been filled with so much angst; but all of that was momentarily forgotten as we celebrated this couple. Admittedly this couple had to adjust their plans; BUT we still had an amazing time & they were nothing but legends as we sat to make the changes! Having said all that, next year at this time & place I'll be back with the couple to PARTAY and celebrate with ALL their family and friends! 15.01.2022 Oh MY!!!! No matter how many times I do this, it never gets old or boring!! I love presenting newly weds to their family and friends. (In fact, it's reliving moments like this that has been keeping me sane during this period). I really enjoyed working alongside this couple. This is one of the only weddings that I MC'd where everyone including the BRIDE (lol) was pretty much refusing to leave at the end. Firstly because it's a reminder that Love won in November 2017 and secondly because this now means any couple can marry regardless of who they have fallen in love with. Congratulations Sarah & Jax. I cant wait to get back to being a party starter & helping people to PARTAAAAAY! This has been without doubt one of the most challenging times in my life! 10.01.2022 The Wedding & Bride Bridal Expo in Melbourne was awesome. Again I got to meet with some amazing couples and we had bookings on the spot which blows my mind everytime. I am grateful to everyone of you that supports me in the various ways you do. I may not get to say thanks to everyone indivually, but believe me when I say, I appreciate you ALL!... Lastly, it's only tuesday and I've already had to tell 13 couples that I met at the expo that I am already booked on their date. I know 2021 seems like a long time away, but it really isn't in this industry. So don't wait to secure your chosen wedding suppliers. Get contacting the suppliers that you really want so you don't end up settling for the ones you wouldn't have chosen!

09.01.2022 I met this couple in October 2019 at the Wedding & Bride Bridal Expo in Melbourne and I married them in November 2020 at Potters Receptions. Whilst the year of planning has thrown so many curveballs I am honoured that I was able to stand alongside this couple during this crazy journey. 07.01.2022 Today is the first Mothers Day without my mom. Again, the harsh reality of the fact that mom is no longer with us breaks my heart. I would do anything to see mom and hear her voice even if it meant her saying, boy imma whoop youre behind. ... To those of you who are blessed to have your mother, show your love like never before! And whilst I dont have my mom, I still have my dad & even though its not Fathers Day Imma shower him with extra love! 35 days & counting and its still tough

07.01.2022 With all that has been going on lately I wanted to make it clear that anyone who identifies as CALD, ethnic minority or LGBTQI; You are safe with me! It is important that everyone that visits any of my platforms has a clear understanding that I unapologetically support ALL minority groups & the LGBTQI community! I am making a statement to the none supporters but more importantly, I want to ensure that every potential couple that identifies as either CALD, ethnic minority and/or LGBTQI knows YOU WILL BE SAFE WITH ME! 07.01.2022 Getting upset and arguing on your wedding day will not change the weather; it will not change the fact that somebody was so drunk they couldn't stand, it won't change the fact that somebody stood on your dress causing it to rip, it won't change the fact that it's too wet or too hot to go with your ceremony plan A so now we have to revert to plan B. Your attitude won't make whatever has gone wrong miraculously turn right, but a positive attitude will make you feel better & a...llow you to enjoy your day regardless of what's going on. So, at the risk of offending your family & friends and looking like a total stroppy unreasonable person, CHANGE your mindset and SMILE as cheesy as I'm smiling in this pic. Jeopardising the relationships you have with your family and friends is not worth it. I can almost promise you that something somewhere along the line may not go to your original plan, but as your wedding suppliers we will do anything and everything we can to ensure your day is perfect and enjoyable for you. So, take a deep breath, say a few internal cuss words & keep smiling!

06.01.2022 Today I would be giving you a false sense of illusion if I spoke about anything other than my mother. My heart is extremely heavy as I come to terms with the fact that my mother died a few days ago! Mom was my first ever Teacher, Cook, Stylist, Chauffeur, Choir Director! She told me I would live in a place far from home and instilled the importance of being able to cook, clean, hand wash and iron my clothes, be employable and be self sufficient. Mom taught me the importance... of having respect and integrity. Upon reflection I recall that Mom was the one who taught me to be a public speaker, to connect with the positive vibes, engage the crowd and to hold that space with authority. Mom was the one that recognised the gift within me, made me accept my responsibility and often said in the Jamaican dialect, "JERMAINE the PEOPLE are depending on you, DON'T you let them down. Set your face as flit, look over their heads if you have to, but you've totally got this son". Mom is one of the very few that can spot when I am nervous at an event although everyone else thinks I am totally fine! Mom gave me constructive feedback about my public speaking engagements although it often felt like lashings. Mom encouraged me to master my craft and be the best I can be. Mom is the founder and CEO of my cheer squad and would often say, "Can't nobody do this like Jermaine can"! Mom was a firm disciplinarian and would often reinforce the fact that she didn't want me in prison, strung out on drugs, disrespecting my elders, being unemployable, having no direction/purpose in life or being another male black statistic. At times I hated it, but grew to appreciate it when I became an adult and had to find my own way! I cannot believe she has gone! My life will never be the same again. Now that Mom has transitioned I am left with the memories of the powerful singing and preaching voice she once had; I am reminded of the frown when I displeased her and the smile and proud look in her eyes when I ever succeeded. I am thankful that I was impacted by her. I am eternally grateful that I AM her son! All that I am & ever hope to be, I owe it all to my mother! I implore you to appreciate your family and friends, love on them and never take them for granted; for in a moment when you least expect it, the inevitable can happen. 06.01.2022 I was extremely honoured to be a part of this wedding ceremony. What made it extra special is that the Bride's son stood beside me and helped me marry his mother to the love of her life. 05.01.2022 I am sure y’all know by now; I totally love & look up to my daddy & even more so now as he is my surviving parent. Today is his birthday and I want to give him the biggest shout out!! Happy Birthday Dad... You are the best father a person could ever ask for! if I can be a half decent person as he is and look half as good as he does at his age I’ll be happy! ... My dad’s mom (my grandmother) died on his birthday some years ago & he lost his wife (my mom) just a few months ago, so today is going to be challenging... but imma video call him, & sing to him & pass on every message y’all write/post to him which I know will brighten up his day! I know y’all don’t know him like I do, but without him there would be no me so please help me make him feel special I love y’all!

04.01.2022 The look on my face in this pics captures how I am currently feeling for my current couples who now can't get married as scheduled and all of us with businesses that have taken a massive financial hit! I am actually lost for words (which never happens). All I can say is I urge you all to look after your physical & mental health, look after yourself & each other and continue to support your local small businesses. The only way we can get through this is to support each other... as we follow the instructions of the Department of Health. I want to publicly thank all of the couples that have worked with me and shown a great deal of understanding whilst we're working to arrange new dates for all the postponed ceremonies. To the couples that are still waiting for me to respond, I PROMISE I will get to you ASAP. Thank you for the continued support, it means so much to me!

03.01.2022 Being a small business owner I have never, ever had one entire day off; even when I'm on vacation. I am always answering emails, calls, text, FB messages or writing a ceremony script. BUT, today I decided to give myself the ENTIRE day off to relax, have fun and enjoy some me time! I'll be back on my A game feeling refreshed tomorrow! Never forget to take the time to love yourself, spoil/treat yourself & be kind to yourself!
