06.01.2022 Last week I had the privilege of hosting the 2021 Annual General Meeting for JCI Eastern. A significant event that was streamed across Australia and Japan with #live translation to ensure our Twinning Partner -JCIFujioka - JCI Fujioka, JCI Executive, Members, friends, and guests could participate seamlessly. Reflection can be challenging, especially when you are reflecting on a year like #2020! Though I could not be more proud of the organisation and its achievem...ents over the last 12 months thanks to our leaders, members and community. It is amazing to also consider, that without COVID, livestreamed meetings such as an AGM were rare now, it’s Business as usual! I would also like to #thank: Senator Shigeru Oshima, Local President Ryo Kurosawa for your support and friendship in hosting our AGM across Japan! 01.01.2022 Congratulations to JCI Eastern's Local President Elect Peter Copp for being awards JCI Australia's Most Outstanding Member during the 2020 JCI Australia Awards Gala Dinner. Some words from his nomination, which was assessed by an external judging panel: "Peter is an extremely professional, compassionate and value... driven individual. He has been an absolute asset to JCI and has always found time to action items and be involved when required... Peter has been able to develop a stable group of leaders around him in a time of absolute uncertainty... Peter’s own values are strongly aligned with those of JCI, he lives a life of service [outside of JCI] in supporting not-for-profit organisations with a strong focus on health and wellbeing."
