09.01.2022 *** SCAM ALERT *** Recently, I received a voicemail in my land line claiming to be from the Australian Tax Office (ATO). The person did not specify a particular person who the message was directed to but mentioned of a certain tax evasion with a threat of arrest by the Australian Federal Police (AFP). Please be vigilant and NEVER give up your details to anyone you are unsure of. The Tax Office will never contact and threaten to arrest you over the phone. If you are unsure, please contact your Tax Agent or follow the guidelines from scamwatch.gov.au
