19.01.2022 Do you know what this is? Hint: these regal, flightless birds roam the rainforests and coastlines around our Cairns and Townsville campuses, and they are of the closest living species to dinosaurs. You might just be lucky enough to spot one while studying with us in Australia.

08.01.2022 Meet #JCU Team - Farida Nanderbad I am JCU’s Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) and Compliance Specialist based in India. Each applicant is different. getting to k...now the young minds, their ambitions and their journey keeps me inspired and committed. My Team. The In-country and the onshore staff are fabulous. JCU has an extensive support system for the international students to help them with their smallest of worries. We make them Feel at Home Assessing applications which involves interviewing students, getting in touch with partners, undertaking follow up calls, assisting in inquiries received from students and partners. Being a Regional and one of the Oldest University in Queensland, JCU provides you with a multicultural environment, practical education, small class size, award winning infrastructure and so much more. We are surrounded by natural beauty. JCU has some of the best highly qualified mentors and all time supportive university staff. All of this will make it quite an experience for you. I love both Townsville and Cairns. I love travelling. I was given an opportunity to visit the University to both the campuses last year. It was quite overwhelming. Townsville is filled with its greenery, was calm and soothing. Plenty of things to do such as trekking, experiencing the coral reef, The Strand, #Magneticisland and so on. On the other hand Cairns is the Tourist hub with DFO, Sky Rail Forest, Kuranda Village and Daintree Forest. #JCUInternational #JCUCollege

01.01.2022 Meet the #JCUCollege Team Andrew Higgins Academic Teacher (Mathematics) JCU College I am an Academic Teacher of Mathematics. I am passionate about Mathematics and believe that it is an important subject for so many jobs and aspects of our life. I have been a teacher for over 25 years, and I enjoy the fact that no two days are ever the same in teaching and learning.... JCU’s best kept secret is that it is a large campus with plenty of space and natural beauty. Our regional location means the pace slower than the big cities, making it an ideal place to focus on your studies. A typical day for me involves driving to the University, heading up to the office to see the other delightful JCU College staff and getting ready for classes. I teach most days and interact with the students from all over the world. This helps me learn new things from them also. My advice to all students is to come with an open mind and a positive attitude. We all have good days and not so good days, but it is how we approach the next day that will determine our success. I would also encourage prospective students to always ask questions when needed. The staff are here to help, and we like when students ask questions about anything. Townsville and Cairns are friendly and safe and close to beautiful natural destinations including tropical islands and rainforests. There are plenty of shopping, nightlife and cultural activities and the weather is usually fantastic. #JCUCollege #JCUInternational #internationalstudents #StudyinAustralia
