23.01.2022 It's home game weekend (except for U15s and U7 Speed)! Woohoo! A friendly reminder that we are still looking for volunteers from each team to help out on the gate and in the canteen. Please comment or contact your manager to volunteer. Remember to bring along cash, as there is no eftpos. It's $4 per adult entry and yummy goodies in the canteen range from $1 to $5.... The grandstands cannot be used at the moment, so bring along your chairs. Look forward to seeing lots of kids on the field and having fun tomorrow! See you there!

23.01.2022 Registrations for Saints players from under 6s to 16s are now open for next season!! Head to "play rugby league" online, log into your account and register (you don't have to pay yet) to make sure you don't miss a place. New players and those wanting to come across to the Saints from another club will be able to register towards the end of January. Training will start in the first week of February, with games starting in March. 2021 is going to be an awesome season!!!

20.01.2022 Super pumped for our last Saints home game of the season tomorrow! We have all 8 of our teams playing at Joe Baker Field, so it's going to be cracker of a day! As always, we'll need helpers from each team the hour before your game, so let your manager know if you can give us a hand. 20.01.2022 REMINDER: We're currently designing our 2021 Saints club polo shirt and would like to include an indigenous component on part of the shirt. We are inviting our current indigenous players and families to provide a small artwork they have created that tells a story of their heritage. We will then combine these (or a selection, depending how many we receive) to include on part of our club shirt. The artwork can include 6 different colours - royal blue, gold, navy, yellow, black and white. Please email artwork as a jpg to [email protected] before Friday 4 December. 19.01.2022 It was unreal seeing our Saints Under 9s playing at the Cowboys yesterday! They had so much fun, looked awesome in their gold and blue Saints gear and represented the club proudly!! Oh When The Saints Go Marching In!!!!

19.01.2022 Saints history was made today with the first ever game between two Saints teams! Our under 8 Saints Strong played our Saints Speed! It was awesome to watch how much fun they were having and geez they were playing good footy!!!

17.01.2022 What a great day of home games at Joe Baker Field yesterday! It's unreal watching how much all our teams have improved this season! Thank you to all the parents and the FUGs who helped out with all the little bits and pieces that need to be done to run home games and fundraise for our club! We have one more home game which is on October 10. All 8 of our teams are playing that day so it's going to be a cracker of a day!

Big thank you to those who volunteered too - our children can't play without your help. A special thank you to Red Rooster Fairfield Waters who have kindly provided vouchers for our players! They are owned by a local family, so let's remember to support them next time you're driving past

16.01.2022 It was fantastic to celebrate the season with our awesome Saints players, volunteers and families on Saturday. I hope the kids are wearing their jerseys proudly and showing off their trophies! Thank you to everyone involved with the club this year. We hope you've all had fun and look forward to welcoming you back next year, when the Saints will again go marching in!

16.01.2022 We are so proud to announce our Saints Chaplain, Luke Henderson!! Luke completed a sports chaplaincy course earlier this year and is available to have a chat and support all players, volunteers and families in our club. You'll find Luke helping out all over the club, so please encourage your kids (and your family) to talk with him if they are having any problems, feeling a bit off or would like to have a chat with someone who will listen and be supportive - remember that it ain't weak to speak and it's so important to encourage our young boys and girls to reach out if they need a hand!! The Saints is more than just a footy club and we are so thankful to have Luke providing such an awesome service.

13.01.2022 Our last week of Saints training for the season starts tonight, leading up to our home game this Saturday. All teams are training on the JCU Cricket Oval tonight. You can park in the same place as normal, then walk across the carpark, past the basketball and tennis courts to the cricket oval, then find your coach/manager. See you there!

11.01.2022 SAINTS, it's our first home game at Joe Baker Field this weekend!! (except for Under 7 Strong unfortunately ) Some important information: Parking and entrance is not where it is for training - park in the carpark at the top of the field (follow the signs on the road as you drive in - don't turn at the roundabout where you normally would) and enter near the changerooms (at the opposite end of the field to where we enter for training). The exit is near the scoreboard. ...It's $4 entrance for all adults - this all goes back into the club to keep our fees low. We must follow all covid-safe rules, so bring your own seating, register on entry, do social distancing, hand sanitise at the ground and don't attend if you have flu-like symptoms. The canteen will be pumping out hot chips, nuggets, pies, cold drinks, choccies and cappucinos! Yum! Talk to your team manager as to how you can chip in to help the club for home games - we need 4 parents from each team for an hour before your game - it's all pretty easy, we'll show you what to do and we have fun! As we know our Saints families always do, keep being super supportive of all the kids and officials and cheer loudly! Oh when the Saints go marching in!!

08.01.2022 JCU SAINTS Presentation Day is on this Saturday morning! Starting at 8:30am, there will be a BBQ and cold drinks to buy while the kids run around and have some fun together. Trophy and jersey presentations will go from 9:30am until 10:30am. We'll have some shade set up as it will be pretty tropical, but bring your own chairs and picnic rugs. Looking forward to celebrating a strange but fun season with all our players and families!!

05.01.2022 It's finally game week, wooohooooo!! All teams are training back on Joe Baker Field tonight. Parents can enter the grounds, but keep in mind social distancing and covid safe procedures are still in place to follow. If you need to pay rego fees, or pick up shorts/socks, please catch up with Luke. The Saints are ready to go marching in!!

04.01.2022 And with a flashy individual try by Ethan Finlay on the hooter to win the game for our Saints U15 team yesterday, our 2020 JCU Saints season came to a close. What an exciting and fitting end to a challenging year! It epitomizes the attitude, determination and culture present with all our players, volunteers and throughout the whole club. We hope everyone's enjoyed being part of the Saints this season and we look forward to celebrating at our presentation day (date coming soon!)! The Saints have come marching in!!

02.01.2022 Woohoo, footy is back! Round 1 starts tomorrow and we can't wait to see our Saints juniors running around and having fun! Let's give them all a huge cheer! Game times: Burdekin - Rugby Park, Ayr U6, 9:00am on field 3A... Neil Stewart Park (TDJRL), Kirwan U7 Strong, 8:30am on field 3B U8, 9:20am on field 2A U9, 9:20am on field 3B U12, 11:50am on field 1 Sports Reserve, North Ward U7 Speed, 9:30am on field 3 U11, 11:00am on field 1 U15, 3:00pm on field 1 COVID 19 reminders - check in at each ground, take your own seating, practice the 1.5m social distancing and do not come along if you have flu-like symptoms.

Face masks are recommended to be worn by parents attending, with all other normal covid-safe procedures in place. There's no training on Thursday.
