24.01.2022 I was finally able to drag myself out of bed on what was a very cold, very windy Sunday morning. Covid-19 has ensured that I, like many others, complied with the Govt regs and stayed indoors to help keep us all safe. Well, what a day to bust out ! The waves were between 5-8 metres in height and extremely dangerous. But to look at this image, you could be forgiven in thinking it was just another calm and peacful day.

23.01.2022 A couple of years ago, I drove through a little town called Wee Jasper after visiting a client nearby. I took a few images which were quite rushed and at that stage, I felt weren’t worth publishing. I have re-edited this particular image and as I did, it brought back memories of what I went through at the time. I remember I had accidentally slipped into the river ( I was still wearing my work clothes including leather shoes.. not very bright, I’ll admit ). I was cold and partly drenched as it had also been raining. I also remember sneaking this photo in between rain showers before hastily retreating to the car. Shaking my head as I recall it all..

23.01.2022 Hi all, If you’re interested, I thought I’d let you know that Blog #3 has now been published on my website. It involves yours truly, lots of crocs, a prehistoric lake, an ancient aboriginal cave and a bloke named Tony. Was it the right thing to do in accepting what I thought could have been a really bad decision in accepting a ride with a stranger ? If you have the time, please click on the link below as I’d love to know what you would have done. https://www.overlandphotography.com.au//strongno-one-knows

18.01.2022 After a 90 minute drive, the temperature gauge was showing 0 degrees when I finally arrived at my location just before light. I was hopeful of a little mist or fog so I was quite keen to get organised and head off to the river. It was a short and easy walk and even though I was rugged up, my nose and lips felt like they were about to drop off. Needless to say, I was in a hurry to score my first image of the morning. I was fortunate enough to find a little mist hovering over the river and it was just enough to give this scene a little atmosphere. Now where is that hot thermos of coffee !
