The large and odd size and shape of the diffuser, especially the large hump section in the middle means that this section touches the water before the rest of the diffuser gets a chance to have the carbon print transferred onto it.... Add the heavy weight of the bar + holding this piece in front of you and then trying to press a piece so large with high buoyancy resistance, and you've got something that will really test your patience Stay tuned to see how we work our magic

The owner decided to go one step further and colour match the intake and throttle body to the colour of the brembo brakes we also repainted ... @ls3tuf

20.01.2022 It's been a while since we have customised a coffee machine, and just like anything else that comes into our workshop we were in the pursuit of perfection with this project - and let's face it, would you expect anything less? If you have been following our business for a while you will know that everything we do is all about attention to detail and we always strive to go above and beyond for our customers. We worked with the team at @conceptcoffee to transform their @dallaco...rte_espresso coffee machine into something truly unique, but still staying true to the natural elements of elegance and style within this machine. We left no stone unturned; every nut, bolt, screw, panel and piece on this machine has been customsied. With a combination of marble, black chrome and matte black coatings all the details have certainly been thought about including the steam arm, gauges, levers, drip tray and the top rack to complete this coffee machine. When we work on projects, we cover all necessary bases. If you can imagine it, we can create it!

18.01.2022 When this BMW M3 came to our shop we not only had the task to repair the damage on the front lip, but also to match to the OEM carbon as much as possible. It's already an intricate task matching paint and premade patterns to OEM carbon when the carbon is on different parts of the car, but when our carbon will be directly next to OEM carbon it takes the task to a whole new level. Safe to say we were really happy with the outcome! We colour matched as close as possible and al...so ensured when we dipped the lower section of the front lip that it would line-up in the same direction that the OEM carbon did. And while the customer was at it who can resist adding some of our carbon into the interior (which we also matched to, see how our carbon matches to the OEM carbon in different ambient light? Years of practice and years of experience has allowed us to develop a custom base coat to put underneath carbon allowing our work to be as realistic as possible!

11.01.2022 FAQ FRIDAYS: PAINTING VS. DIPPING? What's better? ... What's more durable? What's cheaper? Can you dip my wheels gloss black? These are multiple questions received almost daily regarding our services as there is a common misconception that painting and Hydrographics (aka dipping) are the same service. To explain the difference between painting and hydrographics please continue to read Painting is the traditional process of changing the colour of a certain item in which we use automotive grade paint (the same paint as what's on your vehicle ). We can do solid, metallic, pearl or candy colours The process includes sanding, sometimes priming, base coating, clear coating and polishing. We use paint to coat engine parts as seen above (the candy red parts), as well as for blackouts, calipers, wheels and basically any other item where you just want a colour change. On the other hand hydrographics is not a process to replace paint It is a process that applies graphics to an item using water to transfer the pattern There are hundreds of printed patterns to choose from and patterns do not come in solid colours. If you think about the word broken up, it makes easier to remember. (hydro graphics ) Hydrographics still follows the exact same process of paint except before we clear coat we do the hydrographic process which includes: - laying the chosen pattern onto the water - activating the pattern so it turns into an ink - carefully submerging the parts into our water tank to allow the pattern to wrap around the part Then we proceed with the clear coat and polishing phase. We most commonly use Hydrographics to replicate carbon. As you can now see from above hydrographics and painting are not interchangeable. If you want a colour change we use the paint process If you want a pattern, such as carbon fibre we use hydrographics Both coatings have the same durability, but are just used to achieve different finishes. Hydrographics is normally priced higher than paint because there is more involved material and timewise, and should not be compared to the price of painting an item because the process is different.

11.01.2022 FAQ FRIDAY! Q: "Can I wait while you dip?" A: Definitely not ... A major part of our custom coating method which many people don't think about is what happens before and after the dipping process. As much as we wish we were magicians who simply were able to dip parts into water and instantly make them come out a few seconds later as newly coated parts, with carbon, clear coated and all polished up - it just doesn't happen like that (even though this is what some customers expect) There's hours required BEFORE and AFTER the dipping process, and that includes: 1 sanding, prepping and sometimes priming 2 painting the base coat for the carbon 3 Then after the carbon phase, which may we add does not always happen first go sometimes when the carbon doesn't look right to us, we choose to redo this part - this means basically starting all over again from sanding and painting! (However we prefer to deal with customers who are after are high quality finish and not just chasing the time frame, so we do what is necessary) Then when the dip is successful we can continue with our process; 5 drying, cleaning and clear coating. Which all takes time to set up the booth, wash our guns etc before clearing 6 after clearing, sometimes we might want to redo some parts and other times we might want to polish, sometimes their perfect off the gun! Some jobs also require hours of removal and install! Jobs stay with us from anywhere from 3 days to sometimes 3 weeks! what we do is certainly not a process that can be rushed or done while you wait!

09.01.2022 At Just Dip It Hydrographics our customers often like to push the limits to see what's possible with automotive customisation Take this Mercedes GTC AMG for example, our customer not only wanted us to apply our hydrographics process to his centre console and door trim inserts to match his OEM carbon, but he also requested for us to remove the leather from the rear convertible paneling and replace this finish with our Hydrographic process to create a uniform finish of dry carbon among the interior of his vehicle (and not to mention making his GTC one of a kind)

09.01.2022 "why do you charge to fit a badge?" Have you ever heard of "you pay peanuts; you get monkeys?" Contrary to what some customers think, we don't just tear off badges and slap the newly badge back on ... To swap over badges takes patience, precision and care, especially if your doing about 5 of them! If you don't take the time do it properly you're going to end up with wonky badges and scratches on your paint work! It's not rocket science but but it does take time and multiple steps 1) mask up border of badge to keep alignment 2) remove badge off car 3) the original double-sided tape is likely to stick to your paint work, so we caramel wheel the residue off which allows the residue to be removed without scratching or damaging your paint. 4) buff any remaining residue to allow a clean surface to stick the new badge on 5) cut out and apply new double-sided tape to the rear of the newly painted or new replacement badge 6) align and install badge 7) final clean and buff around area Ta da

07.01.2022 We're coming up to our 7th birthday at Just Dip It Hydrographics and reflecting on the years that have passed we're extremely grateful to know that every single year our business is growing bigger and bigger, sometimes more than we can handle but we appreciate all the support and all the feedback and all the amazing customers that we have dealt with the past 7 years. We put a lot of time and effort into our business, we work extremely long hours, sacrificed long nights, early... mornings and weekends because we don't stop until we get it right for our customers. We have dedicated so much blood, sweat and tears the past 7 years growing our business to where it is today and take immense pride in creating custom finishes for our customers. It's a tough trade to be in, it takes a lot of patience, skill, practice and passion. We still get challenged every single week with things we haven't done before, but that only develops our skills further.
