19.01.2022 Amazing achievement - we hit $90,000 raised for type 1 diabetes research today! Getting so close to that $100,000 target!
19.01.2022 Wow - we just tipped over $100,000! A huge congratulations to all of our Riders this year who committed to this challenge as you are part of a collective who has now raised over $100,000 for type 1 diabetes research. But we're not done yet! There are still funds rolling in and whilst the official cycling challenge finished yesterday, we encourage you to do that last shout out for donations and let's see how high we can get that fundraising total to!
14.01.2022 FitBit has kindly donated one of their latest fitness wearables the Fitbit Versa for us to present to one of our amazing One Ride participants. We have already recognised many of our highest achievers in fundraising and KM’s reached, so we decided to randomly draw a winner from the 280 participants who registered this year. And the winner is..SIOBHAN BUCKLEY! On Siobhan’s One Ride page she describes why she joined the event and what it means to her: Five years ago, my b...eautiful little sister Stella was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. This changed her life completely. It has opened my eyes to how important so many functions in the body are to keep your body working. I am so proud of my sister who has to go through this 24/7 and she is such an inspiration! I am committed to completing this challenge to help fundraise for research but also to raise awareness of Type 1. Well we are proud of you too Siobhan! You raised $1,235 towards T1D research and cycled 484KMs! We hope that this amazing new FitBit helps you keep tracking your cycling and that you can join us again next year to hit the pedals again for the JDRF One Ride. Congratulations and thank you to our wonderful supporter FitBit! https://ride.jdrf.org.au/fundraisers/siobhanbuckley
