23.01.2022 Well here we go folks 2020 week one done and dusted .There will be a bus vonveyance comittee meeting at koumsla state school probably towards bthe e nd of next week will post details hete and and in the school newsletter all are welcome look forward to that .Not much to report week one usual post break niggles no behaviour issues and i preps all settling in in well so roll on term 1 and have a great weekend

23.01.2022 Good grief i just tried posting and managed to stuff it up keeping it short schools open bus is clean ready to roll monday Whoever the person up the back still eating on the bus what an inconsiderate ill advised thing to be doing given current health problem and the year 9 passenger twisting the seat belt buckle backwards stop its damaging bus walls and when that csble breaks your parents will be getting the bill thanks to mrs coopers eagld eye i know who you are firstand last warning.So wihh that out of the way hope you are all healthy hapoy and ready for another fun week see you tomorrow

21.01.2022 Ok i fully realise it seems like forever since i posted hope you can forgive me me there truly is not too much to tell children are all doing well we have a noisy bus but its one where you can enjoy your trip to school hanging out with friends singing to the radio maybe drawing or colouring in stuff i spy on.is still popular and i varied uses of the imagination encouraged at all times thanks jed for bringing your special computer that looked like a book and churned out out special chocolate cupc akes for the driver.thank goodness they were lowfat.so many awards this week for s pelling and good behaviour great to see hope everyone is the looking forward to swimming this coming week i know i am have a great weekend everyone see you monday

20.01.2022 Hi everyone just letting all know that as discussed at the bus meeting on the 17th i have put into the place forms for parents/guardians with children travelling on my service andvpaying cash these will be available as usual at koumala school bus office and of course th ed bus itself thank you

18.01.2022 There you go folks fridays here thanks everyone for your co-operation pdue to covid 19 and the constant smell of glen 20 and eucalyptus spray greeting you each trip. I just need to let all know the bus will run all next week 30th through to end of term for children of parents either in essential services or not in a position to keep them home as far as everybodu else begining their break have a good and safe one i will see you all happy and healthy next term :)

09.01.2022 Hi people its friday t he m o Hi people its friday the fun day of the week and what a week quite busy its been good to see so many kids getting awards for efforts and enjoying their time at school lately. WOW what a surprise today was surrounded by so many diverse characters on the bus we had a dragon a fairy a trainee wizard little poppy a cowgirl the bus real Heidi Cher and Lil red riding hood who graciously tipped her driver with "cookies" from her basket (hey i am a granm...a) No behaviour issues just lots of laughs and singing it seems george ezra and his "shotgun" have been sent down the "old town road" at every opportunity and full volume.I also had the chance to catch a squizz at some of the fathers day gifts purchased you lucky fellas should be pleas asntly surprised.So h appy fathers day to all have a very special weekend see you all monday and thanks for making my job such a joy to wake up and do 5 days a week :) See more

08.01.2022 Hello people i have been a tad busy. What a week lots of awards from the kids good to see them doing well at school. Today well WOW i was surrounded by so many diverse characters there was a dragon a f airy little poppy a cowgirl trainee wizards the Real Heidi and of course lil red riding hood who graciously tipped her driver with a bag of cookies. Thu s granny says thanks a lot Red. I hope they all had a woderful dress up day think i spotted Cher as well in there .Things are... pretty relaxed on bus atm george ezra and his "Shotgun" have been sent do w n "the old town road" at full volume and every time it comes on the ra dio nothing behaviour wise yo report but singing laughing and kid stuff.I g ot a squizz at some of the gifts purchased at the fathers day stall this week i dare say most of you will be pleasantly surprised so wi shing you all a happy fathers d ay and an all round super weekend bye for now see you m onday and thanks for making my job a joy to wake up to and do eavh day See more

07.01.2022 Hi everyone i have good news the bad mannered part that caused my air con to malfunction has arrived full this afternoon and will be installed friday morning after the run. I would also like to let you all know our bus meeting is set for 9am at koumala state school on the 17th all welcone hope to see you there

06.01.2022 hi parents and travellers on p1064. I have been asked by Transport to prepare an incident management plan in regard to Covid 19 aka coronavirus and how to handle that situation so like so many others i am spending my weekend reading and researching as much information as i can from qld health site and anything else i can find. I was thinking maybe me as service provider and you as users of that could make some sense of all this. I would like to assure parents that for some t...ime even back to "big al" days i have taken care with cleaning the bus. Products i use are "down to earth" eucalyptus based detergent and floor and surface cleaner I also spray interior surfaces and seats with "bositos" eucalyptus spray or "glen 20" often there are also "dettol" antibacterial wipes with the driver available for wiping down surfaces although now due to this disease instead of getting used once a day they are now being used at request and after every trip. As always sick bags extra tissues purse packs size cough lollies are on board along with baby wipes and first aid kit for the occasional (booboo). Neck pillows and towels are laundered every week and i recently purchased a "bissell" spot cleaner for shampooing seats So from what i can glean so far this virus is air borne spread by coughing whereby droplets come into contact with skin eg hands and then by putting those hands anywhere near face particularly mouths we are enabling it a direct pathway to the lung where it proceeds to run amok mutating into a far more deadly proposition as it attacks respiratory function WOW. So masks don't seem to be very effective other than to keep your hands away from face from what i can see hygiene and common sense are our best hope of dealing with the problem. Things you can do to help........... 1) if your child is unwell please keep them home or seek medical advice asap. 2) Please remind children not to eat on the bus drinking water is fine but at the moment shared anything not a great idea. 3) Please gently remind them if they rub their hands that whatever is on them gets all over the widows they are spreading germs. 4) High school travellers with devices seeing this virus is spread by air and contact that sharing earphones and phones i pads etc might not be a great idea either. I have full faith that as parents of our kids that you will do the best you can to assist with this problem we must all be careful thoughtful and consider each others safety more than ever of course trying to do all this whilst not panicking will be quite a challenge. I will respect your opinions decisions and choices but please be aware because of my duty of care i will obey to the letter all directives from qld transport qld health and the dept of education as actual situations arise. 02.01.2022 Hi everyone its sunday 15th march 2020 what a week school news congratulations angus crowley and lily stocks on your school council placements you are both great kids and i believe will be good examples for fellow students. BUS news internally it is about as clean as i can get it and ready to roll business as usual monday weather seems to be improving and as for covid19 and school closures or members of my staff contracting anything i hsve nothing to report in the event of any changes to schedule i will text all parents on my list and post here on this page and local page and take all other appropriate steps ,see you tomorrow...
