16.01.2022 Do you have a clucky hen that you just can’t get to stop being clucky. Well this is the fastest way to get her off the nest and that’s with some new borns. Simple slip some under her wing after dark so then she’ll have all night to bond with them and then she’ll go anywhere with them the next day. For this to work, she has to of been sitting for over 2.1/2 weeks or she’ll reject them, do to her hormones not being high enough. I’m hatching at the moment

13.01.2022 If you find something like this, it’s a soft shelled egg and hopefully it’s just a opps from one of your girls as they can forget to put the calcium (egg shell) on. But if it continues then you need to look at their diet to make sure they are getting enough calcium in their diet. Shell grit is a fantastic way for them to get the calcium that they need.

07.01.2022 1 week down and the first check of the tocal field day eggs. As I was expecting, the fertility is very low but out of the 200 eggs that went in, around 60 are viable. It is very normal that fertility drops dramatically do to the cold and the boys starting their moulting.
