18.01.2022 Great news for companies who need some extra time to get their annual accounts together. Due to COVID-19, ASIC have extended time for unlisted companies to lodge their annual accounts from 4 months to 5 months. This means companies have until May 31st to get them in. There has been no movement yet on listed companies or 30 June reporting deadlines. http://ow.ly/qKof50zcbCI

15.01.2022 Hands up if you're working from home these days? Have you heard the good news from the ATO? They have recently announced special arrangements to make it easier for people to claim deductions for working from home. Under the new arrangement, from 1 March 2020, you can claim a rate of 80c per hour to cover costs you incur from items such as power, internet and phone usage. The requirement to have a dedicated work space has also been removed and all you need to do is keep a reco...rd of the number of hours worked at home.
