24.01.2022 This is another tool in my resilience kit at the moment. It's lovely to have on in the background, or during meditation, before bed. What has been working for you? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mr8GBzTsWqM

24.01.2022 By far one of the most empowering, easy and free tools in the tool box for wellness and resilience that I've come across. Just let it go! If it comes back, welcome it and let it go again! <3 Thanks Scott https://blog.sedona.com/5-simple-steps-to-let-go-for-good/

23.01.2022 What's your "healing element"? For me for sure it is water. Baths have been my go to for as long as I can remember. Some people like to be in nature, some like ...a cool ocean breeze, some like to stare at a bonfire... Sometimes it's good to remind ourselves of what our healing element is because it forms the basis of our Personal Medicine, our unique way of creating alchemy over life's experiences (finding the hidden value). Once we become aware of this healing element it is best to give ourselves regulars doses of it. Ideally before we actually "need" it. After all prevention will always be better than cure.

23.01.2022 Just say no to sugar 1. Substitute e.g. fruit instead of cake 2. Don't have it in the cupboard 3. Small frequent meals (stabilise your blood sugar)

22.01.2022 **Autoimmune thyroid disease We always consider the gut as part of holistic care. Nice to see research to back it up. Hot off the press this month in the scientific literature: "Thyroid & intestinal diseases prevalently coexist - hashimotos thyroiditis and graves disease are the most common autoimmune thyroid diseases and often co-occur with celiac disease and non-celiac wheat sensitivity.... This can be explained by the damaged intestinal barrier & the following increase of intestinal permeability, allowing antigens to pass more easily and activate the immune system". #thyroid #gut #microbiome #hypothyroid #hashimotos #autoimmune #thyroidgutaxis

22.01.2022 "Like building a muscle, increasing your resilience takes time and intentionality. Focusing on four core components connection, wellness, healthy thinking and meaning can empower you to withstand and learn from difficult and traumatic experiences." https://www.apa.org/topics/resilience

20.01.2022 I was thinking about how lucky I am to have a garden, knowing that so many people are stuck in flats in the city atm. Has anyone tried growing microgreens? Is it easy? I might try growing some microgreens. Hope everyone is managing okay and getting enough sunlight. We will get through this.

20.01.2022 "Gardeners report high levels of happiness, among the top third of all activities. Gardeners also report high levels of meaningfulness, especially for vegetable gardening! (Ornamental gardening, less so.) Female and low-income gardeners, who often have a hard lot in life, reported really high emotional well-being! And solo gardeners were just as happy as those with buddies!" https://www.fastcompany.com//princeton-researchers-discove

16.01.2022 The slow cooker is my favourite way to prepare meals in winter. Just bung it all in and walk away. The smell permeates the house triggering the digestive system for optimal uptake of nutrients. #smellsgood #tastesgood #feelsgood #looksgood #isgood
