13.01.2022 TANGLED WHALE RESCUED Check out this incredible footage of a whale off the coast of Augusta this weekend! The whale was sadly tangled in fishing rope.... Naturalist Charters marine biologist Brodee Elsdon said it was struggling to swim. "It was severely weighing him down and you could just see by the growth on the whale's back that it has been tied on there for quite some time now," she said. The whale attracted the attention of a shark, which began to circle the boat. Luckily, Officers from the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions were able to tag and rescue the whale. Have you ever seen anything like this?
