25.01.2022 Capturing the last sunlight of the day, their best angles, and feeding time at the zoo, as we check for storm damage on our late afternoon walk. Looking forward to the weekend. Stay safe everyone

24.01.2022 It was such a joy to open the pages of this week's The Weekly Times and see lovely local Courtney Baker has been nominated for this year's Shine Awards. I have loved following Courtney's journey since she started creating my favourite earrings brand Flluskë with the message "Love your ears" as a way of raising awareness around inclusiveness of people with disabilities and dealing with deafness in her own life. As well as being a talented Gippsland artist, Courtney is an engag...ing and inspiring public speaker, whom I have had the pleasure of listening to. Congratulations on your well deserved nomination Courtney, we wish you all the best! BTW Courtney's Flluske earrings are available at our favourite local gallery Town and Country Gallery in Yarragon

23.01.2022 I wish you could hear the volume of the birds song coming from every treetop! It's going to be another beautiful autumn day. Happy Sunday everyone xx #birdsong #jindivick #gippsland #countrylife #autumnsunshine #thenativesarerestless #singingfromthetreetops #australiannativebirds #itsgreattobealive #happysunday #lovewhereweliveandwork #creativeliving #naturelovers #wildlifeartists #gippslandartists

22.01.2022 Behind these doors is where our creations come to life................. and oh if these walls could talk!! The vat room is the original part of the rustic historic dairy building we work from on our picturesque property in Jindivick. No fancy equipment here, just the basic necessities with a whole lot of passion and imagination mixed in. ... Our latest spherical creation "Amaze Ball" features here, and is now on the lawn outside Manyung Gallery Group Sculpture Gallery in Flinders.

21.01.2022 What makes Lake Light Sculpture Jindabyne so special, apart from the obvious natural beauty of the environment and the friendly welcome from the locals, is the illumination of the sculptures. Our giant "Big Hearted Roger" (he's 2 metres tall) and "Livewire Jack", in the spotlight last night, ready to welcome visitors along the pathway over Easter!

19.01.2022 Happy first day of Spring everyone!! Here's to more optimism in the world, and spending time doing the things we love to do, with the ones we love to spend time with

17.01.2022 It was such a pleasure and a meaningful project to create this latest sculpture for a lovely local lady, delivered last week, as a surprise gift from her family for a special milestone birthday. We loved bringing to life this pair of king parrots, perched amidst a circle of native foliage to represent happiness, love, family and home. Even more rewarding is to hear since, the joy this gift keeps giving, especially when viewed surrounded by the live king parrots that are regular visitors to their garden

17.01.2022 If life had been normal we would have been arriving in Mudgee today, to set up our sculptures in the beautiful surroundings of Rosby Wines for Sculptures in the Garden, which opens this weekend. "Break Free" is one installation we had created to exhibit in this wonderful annual event. Each of the 5 corten native bird panels was created to reflect the sense of freedom we would feel when we had finally been released from lockdown. Sadly we (and our sculptures) will miss being there this time, but we will be there in spirit, cheering on the organisers and our artist friends, and wishing everyone a successful and enjoyable event!

16.01.2022 It's great to see our wombat family enjoying their new home in the garden of talented garden designer Matthew Henry. Thanks for sharing your photo and for your kind words @matthewhenrygardens !

16.01.2022 Our happy place....and our happy lab!! What makes you happy??

15.01.2022 There's a lot of wisdom in the phrases and sayings we've grown up with, like some of my favourites... "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade", "just breathe" and "go with the flow". Thinking of everyone in our own "backyard", our family and friends and those further afield, as we enter another phase of restrictions and lockdowns. Conscious of the seriousness of the situation and that this affects everyday lives on a different scale for each and everyone of us, we hope that sharing some of the beauty of nature that surrounds us, helps to brighten up your day.

15.01.2022 Some of the happy faces to greet you when you visit Markus's and Ginnie's Off Grid Hobby Farm in Jindivick as part of the Creative Harvest Gippsland event this weekend! That's us with our Supersized Hare "Roger" having his first outing amongst our other sculptures with the stunning backdrop over the hills, looking towards Neerim South. And garden owner Ginnie on the left, with Baw Baw Sustainability Network event volunteer Tessa, when they met yesterday, coincidentally in their matching t-shirts!! We will be back here again today between 10am and 4pm.

14.01.2022 How's this for a capture??!!... A real life Aussie icon perching like a weathervane on the tip of our Norfolk Pine!! We love capturing these whimsical moments in real life and in our art.

12.01.2022 Meeting with the Gippsland Jersey girls for bin night in Jindivick!! #gippslandjersey #jindivick #binnight #gippsland #goodforfarmersgoodforyou #lovewhereweliveandwork

11.01.2022 Studio supervisor "Cedar" is never far away! Whether it be cheering from the sidelines or advising on the finer details, it's her call when work is done, or needs some finishing touches before heading onto the next phase. Yesterday's work "Break Free" now ready for final construction.

11.01.2022 Life's ups and downs, highs and lows, or depending on your viewpoint, opportunities to grow! Wishing you all a beautiful Sunday from us and our giant carefree hares Ginger, Barry, Raymond, Jack and Alice!!

11.01.2022 It's been another beautiful day for Lake Light Sculpture Jindabyne! Our "Joy" and "Balance", are new sculpture designs, that bring a more contemporary feel to our range. Midday tomorrow marks the end of this amazing exhibition. If you are in Jindabyne please take this last opportunity to visit!

10.01.2022 The spiders have been busy weaving their magical webs! So much beauty in nature, revealed by the winter sun on this spectacular winter morning here in Jindivick. Have a wonderful day!

10.01.2022 When you have your wings "clipped" but you still need to share your love of creating artwork and highlighting how amazing our native wildlife is ....you stay close to home, keep creating, keep looking forward and support local! "A Rare Sight - Regent Honeyeater" has landed at beautiful Gippsland gallery "Town and Country Gallery" in Yarragon to greet visitors and find its new forever home. We depicted this critically endangered native bird in an oversized way, encircled in ...native foliage to signify its strength to survive and highlight its need for protection. Whilst many of our interstate art shows have been postponed to a later date, we have great memories of participating and feel happy that many of our artworks have found new homes where they can keep spreading joy!

08.01.2022 Wow! What a spectacular drive home from Jindabyne to Jindivick. We took the road less travelled via the "Barry Way" which runs South from Jindabyne to Buchan. Not for the faint-hearted, this winding, narrow gravel road delivers the most magnificent high country scenery, with every twist and turn, a new breathtaking panorama is revealed! So glad we chose the more adventurous path home

07.01.2022 It's going to be a magnificent day!! Keeping spirits high and wishing the best for everyone as we embrace getting back to some new normality xx

07.01.2022 And just like that Lake Light Sculpture Jindabyne is all over for another year! We have loved having our sculptures sitting in the stunning Lake Jindabyne landscape. We will miss the wanders up and down the pathway by day and night, happy hour overlooking the lake, and the friendly faces we have met along the way. Congratulations to all the award winners, other artists, organisers and volunteers and sponsors. It's been an epic effort and an enjoyable one!! Cheers

07.01.2022 It's an "ideas brewing" kind of day! Love the autumn colours and this massive Strezlecki gum we look onto, from our upstairs creative space.

06.01.2022 Wow, what a huge weekend we had at Creative Harvest!! Thankyou to all the friendly visitors who came up to meet us and showed interest in our artwork. One lovely lady captured my eye as she crossed the lawn to admire "Roger". Sonia @australianphotoblogger (pictured here) then passed me her pink parasol and kindly took my photo with our giant hare. Such a sweet gesture!... Huge thanks to Markus and Ginnie for giving us the opportunity to display our sculptures in their wonderful Off Grid Hobby Farm and piece of paradise in Jindivick. Also to the Creative Harvest Gippsland event organisers, and Anita Day Vue at Jindivick Eco Bed and Breakfast for her amazing social media promotion. Thanks to all our friends for sharing these too! Special mention for volunteers in the garden we were in, Tessa and Jonas, as well as Luke, Craig and Virginia who worked on the entrance and parking, and kept us watered in the heat. They all did a wonderful job

06.01.2022 Couldn't have designed it better if we tried!! Overlooking our own sculpture "Balancing Act" in Lake Light Sculpture Jindabyne exhibition from our back verandah at Lake Jindabyne Hotel, while taking a bit of time out. Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather and a relaxing Easter break so far.

05.01.2022 We were so delighted to stop by Town and Country Gallery with a delivery of our rusty bunnies and chooks, (they've been breeding like over winter).... to see Bella and Harriet in this gorgeous whimsical farm-inspired window display created by Jo and John. ...and extra special to be in the company of other talented artists' work, especially one of friend Nick Perrin's famous haybale paintings!

05.01.2022 "It's going to be just peachy!" In my head that's my reply as I ponder if we are going to make it over the border for some upcoming art shows we have been working towards. The king of construction and I are choosing the positive spin and to keep inspiring each other to stay on track, producing our artworks to spread some joy! Meanwhile some chirpy parrots visited our winter fruit trees today, and inspire this next creation

05.01.2022 This big old majestic gum could tell a few stories!....a casualty of Sunday night's ferocious winds. Rewind of our morning walk before work....preserving our sanity! Stay safe everyone. We are Thinking of you

05.01.2022 We're all set up for Creative Harvest this weekend, and here's a sneak peek! One of our featured art installations, Wombat Walkabout sees Wanda and her twins crossing the lawn as they survey the magnificent view at Markus's and Ginnie's Off Grid Hobby Farm in Stoll Rd Jindivick!! See our previous post for map details and information for this event. (Tickets are available at any of the 15 gardens you choose to visit or online)

03.01.2022 "Break free" feels like the perfect name for the artwork I've started drawing today. There's an unfamiliar sense of freedom in the air, can't wait until we can fully spread our wings again!

03.01.2022 Busy day in Cook Street Flinders as we delivered our third sculpture to exhibit on the lawn outside Manyung Sculpture Gallery. We now have two sizes in our "Hotshoes" horseshoe fire pit, sitting alongside our "Puzzled" steel sphere, in this beautiful Mornington Peninsula location.

01.01.2022 Such beauty in the colours of nature around us on this gorgeous June day! It's taking a bit longer than normal to rust our sculptures in the winter sunshine.

01.01.2022 Sketching out a trio of magpies........ they may be black and white, but they truly are colourful characters!

01.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day to all the wonderful Dads out there! Especially hard for us all this year not being able to be with them and our children physically, and missing the Dads who have gone to heaven. We celebrated with a bushwalk to Nangara Reserve just near home, and where one of our early sculptures "Sharing a Laugh" happily sits
