20.01.2022 People who know me know this story. From the day I received my first Bulls 23 top as a 10 year old, I was inspired by Michael and the Bulls. I would draw their logo in class, sorry teachers Believe, stay in the moment and NEVER EVER give up. I always wanted to meet my idol but never ever dreamt it would turn out like this day in Chicago, 2011. After watching all the episodes of #TheLastDance Im inspired even more and it was so unbelievable to relive all those 90s moments I held on to so much as a kid. Now I hope you can see why this guy and all those Bulls teams where a massive inspiration to me. Enjoy my story, I still to this day get chills talking about it.

This was back in 2018 with Billy, Johnsy and big Toni Kukoc who gave us a tour of the Bulls change rooms and told us some funny MJ stories. 13.01.2022 As most of you would know, Ive been a big Bulls and Jordan fan since 1987 ever since my Dad returned from a business trip to Chicago with a Bulls 23 singlet and said this guy is massive in town, think hell be big. Read below. The Last Dance. My Story, 1997. On the eve on the most anticipated doco in years - and yes, my team Chicago Bulls and yes my idol Michael Jordan - Im keen to share a story. At the end of their 96/97 championship win, Luc Longley retuned home to Per...th around June/July. At that time, I was playing at Freo and Luc was the number 1 ticket holder. The Dockers organised this charity walk in the streets of Fremantle and invited Luc. Because the club knew I was a massive Bulls fan, they asked me to attend with him, I couldnt believe it. On the walk we chatted about footy, the weather and of course the Bulls. Luc said you should come over one day, Ill set you up, tickets to the game etc etc. My jaw dropped. Luc handed over his cell number and said come over, let me know when and Ill set it up. I couldnt ring my travel agent quick enough. Date was set for October 1997. Me along with a mate from Freo and Steve Meddings flew to the USA to fulfil a dream. Its a long - pardon the pun story - because we did so much but attending training is my favourite. We ring Luc, he tells us to come to his house. When we arrive, were greeted by his wife whos nearly as tall as me. Now my two friends - Steve and Craig - are now feeling even smaller. Theres Luc, 72, his wife 65, me 65 and both Craig and Steve combined wouldnt even be 6 foot (joke, but you get my drift sorry boys). Anyways, we hop into Lucs car and head off to their training. I still to this day recall the drive, actually I pretty much recall everything. I didnt meet Jordan, Rodman or Pippen that day but we did meet Steve Kerr - now Warriors head coach - Randy Brown and coach Phi Jackson. Phil passed us in the hallway and said Aussie guys, Lucs buddies, welcome to the Bulls. Then whilst sitting there we hear Phil yell out heads up Aussie boys. We look up and 3 pieces of paper are floating down from his office. Written to Lucs mates from Australia, best wishes, Phil Jackson. After training Luc invited us on to the court where they had just trained. Luc has a Sherrin in his locker. He pulled it out and we all kicked the ball on the court. Chatted with Steve Kerr - hes my height BTW - then once done, hopped back in the car and went out to dinner with Luc and another player called Jud Buechler. I share this story as it was not only a once in a lifetime experience - we also attended 2 Bulls games so well fortunate to see Jordan in action - but with this new doco coming out, we had no idea we were able to see what would be their Last Dance.
