25.01.2022 As I get older, it’s less about the big picture and more about the everyday joys... like this flowering convolvulus against our white picket fence

24.01.2022 And thats a wrap! Incredibly proud of the Youth Friendly Office space delivered for my client. A welcoming, safe space for high school girls to feel heard, to feel good about themselves and to seek any assistance they may need. Wonderful collaboration with @shellburke77 to understand the needs of the students as well as their dedicated counselors. Bursting with pride over this one

24.01.2022 Home... its a feeling Hope 2019 is off to a swell start; thanks to each of you for following along through long periods of absence and personal posts... Im not sure where The Upstylist will land this year but perhaps you will stick around to see? #theupstylist #bestnine2018 #andersonfamilijahometour

23.01.2022 Dear @anthropologie... pretty please open one of your delightfully eclectic, beautifully styled, feast for the eyes stores in Sydney... I promise to be a loyal customer to your one of a kind, unique pieces that never fail to disappoint... waiting in anticipation (yes, I know you ship to Oz but it is simply not the same) @ London, United Kingdom

23.01.2022 Breathtaking... who doesnt love a garden in bloom?

22.01.2022 Im not going to lie, Im a bit of a grinch when it comes to the excesses of Christmas! But even I couldnt resist these cute red star lights while supermarket shopping... #andersonfamilijahometour #pocketofmyhome

20.01.2022 What looks like an unassuming little cafe in a side street alleyway actually faces... swipe left! Breathtaking mountain scenery We took the boys to Delphi today, walked in and around ancient ruins and were captivated with the sheer size and scale of what was built in ancient times. Magnificent is an understatement and no photos of mine will do it justice. Youll have to believe me when I offer to you this assortment of pictures, mostly portraits of the boys (I omitted the tired, grumpy faces of weary kids too tired of absorbing so much, so fast and give you smiles instead) #delphi #greece #familytravel #andersonsineurope2019 @ Delphi

20.01.2022 Each to their own but if I could live inside a beautiful old church with stained glass all around, I would... my next post will reveal the truth to this statement... (at the rate Im going, youll have to wait at least a week) #stainedglass #marketplaceforthewin

17.01.2022 Merry Christmas!! Sun, sand, surf (kinda, ha!), foooood, pressies... and we get to repeat it all tomorrow with the rest of the fam Hope your day was splendid too!! @ Oatley Park

17.01.2022 Colour philosophy.

17.01.2022 Rambling roses and textured walls all the way from Athens!

16.01.2022 Ive been busy! Clearly this has all been off IG as I have seemingly abandoned this medium for promoting my styling services... and while this is a portfolio of sorts, most of my work does not easily fit the IG mould. Styling consultations, product sourcing and selection, moodboarding, advising clients on design briefs... lots going on in the background to what I end up posting here. For my business, word of mouth has been an immense source of my work leads thus my lack of ...IG drive... in case you were wondering. That said, Ill try and be diligent enough to post more often... in the meantime, heres a pic of Ivy before her haircut sitting pretty atop a stained glass cabinet packed to the brim with family board games. We played Pictionary with the boys (not as easy as it sounds as one of them still doesnt read) but we had so much fun! I love that our home speaks to the people who live there... us! Im all about meaningful content, both on and offline! #upstylingforwellbeing See more

15.01.2022 Its so cold I think my face near fell off today but Spring has definitely sprung in London @ London, United Kingdom

15.01.2022 It would be a crime if a mantel were not decorated for Christmas... feeling festive

14.01.2022 Checking in after an eternity to share a pic of Beau and Lola. Arent they gorgeous? Deliberately slowing down and getting off this app is excellent but so is sharing the beautiful moments of your day. Conundrums. As Ruben just said looking over my shoulder just send it, Mum!... so I will, off to make dinner. Til next post... J x

13.01.2022 Morning light pouring in.... doesnt it look magical? I London

13.01.2022 A change is as good as a holiday

12.01.2022 Work with what youve got! Everything you see here belongs to the vendor. My job was to advise on the most advantageous placement of furniture and accessories. I let clients know what needs to go (bin or storage) and what needs to stay, including where to get it. In this instance.... new position of dining table, artwork placement, purchase of new lighting, plant recommendations and a whole bunch more out of shot! I turn up to put it all together and voila! picture perfect. Ready to market your property to its fullest potential. Get your home ready for sale and book in a styling consultation with me... #theupstylist #propertystyling #propertystaging #sydneyrealestate

11.01.2022 Sunshine... on my window... makes me happy... like I should be #upstylingforwellbeing

11.01.2022 Im with Annette Mayne - what a fantastic initiative! Far too often people request my advice on NEW things they can buy to update their space. I ALWAYS suggest improvements to existing items FIRST - most pieces of furniture can be refreshed and revived with a lick of paint, new hardware, fresh upholstery or a complete repurpose! Dont needlessly throw away those heirloom pieces because they arent modern enough - they tell your family story and make your house a home. If you are in the Oatley electorate, please take the time to vote. You can have a local hub ready to take on those projects, providing you with the assistance and expertise you may need! Lets face it, we arent all DIYers but with a bit of direction, we can be!

09.01.2022 Two peas in a pod... Im not quite ready to let go of The Upstylist alter ego yet - so for now you will see pictures like this until I sort things out in my head... #thanksforthelove and sticking around and if its not your thing, #thanksforlettinggo, I wish you well

09.01.2022 Capturing goodness when I see it #upstylingforwellbeing

08.01.2022 Gosh its hard being a maximalist on a decluttering mission! I love objects that tell our family story... but how much is too much? I suffer from revolving homewares-itis, making sure certain pieces get their required airtime and so on. Perhaps I have too much time on my hands or my priorities are skewed, but - for me at least - my house needs to feel a certain way so I can feel a certain way... it truly is an extension of me, of us, of the life we have created and the life we live each day #andersonfamilijahometour #pocketofmyhome

08.01.2022 Meditative, almost... (if it werent for the kids shrieking on the flying fox nearby!) ... We celebrated two occasions today, my husbands birthday and Old New Year (Macedonian Orthodox celebration!) with a big family lunch! JUST sat down... how was your Sunday?

07.01.2022 It’s funny how my photo memories come up with pictures like this of my home... this one from two years ago. What’s not so funny is that just by looking at this, I can tell you what stage we were in in our lives - I’d scored a free piano and thought the boys would be taken with it (they weren’t, it turned out to be a drawcard for toddler guests), the NY print in the spare room had just been hung and the boys were proud we had something to memorialize the Avengers HQ, the strip...ey rug from Fantastic Furniture was a nod to just how busy my styling business was going such that I ended up purchasing a neutral yet classic piece for my own home (I used stylist talk to myself to justify its purchase) and so on and so on... I could seriously keep going... guess I’ll just have to keep up the habit of taking such pictures no matter how flippant they might seem See more

07.01.2022 While the boys were happily engaged with the wonders of the Natural History Museum, I was immersed in the study of its fixtures and fittings... visual bliss! I could happily live inside its walls, skeletons and all... @ Natural History Museum, London

07.01.2022 So much more than a door... its the finishing touch! I miss living and working in London, a city steeped in history... cookie cutter is NOT a thing! Can you pick a favourite from this selection?

06.01.2022 Curated, clearly, but representative of my style - I like classic and refined with a dash of colour and a splash of pattern

06.01.2022 Flashback to this time last week... I dont know about you, but I just love the Cyrillic alphabet (kind of like how everyone loves the sound of a French accent, no?). The graffiti art in first picture is roughly translated to, Skopje, you will bring happiness ... well, it did! We spent the day celebrating my Dedo Kiros 95th Birthday - dont let the cake fool you as he likes to mark the year he is entering! - so very special for me and my boys. @ Skopje Center, Macedonia

05.01.2022 Yeah, you could call me a sentimentalist... but I actually purged SO MUCH STUFF to strip it back to only the things WE love, everything else (including Ikea catalogues, magazines and forgettable texts) went kaput! So, still a bit disheveled but thats how I like it, it seems!

05.01.2022 Summoning all the symbols represented here - another week, another reminder... #isolation

04.01.2022 *ANNOUNCEMENT* Sometimes I think nothing changes, then I see this picture from THREE YEARS AGO and notice so many improvements... many of these items have been discarded, donated, replaced, updated or shuffled around. And if our homes are a reflection of the people who live there, then the changes to this space signify massive changes for its occupants. Where to start? Well, first and foremost The Upstylist is now a past venture of mine. It was successful, enjoyable and for most of its term buoyed along by momentum and word of mouth. As they say, all good things come to an end so Im bowing out while still in production mode and not the other way around. What now? Well, not sure yet... but I do enjoy a mystery!

04.01.2022 Ive always loved natives; this arrangement a surprise from my one and only... doesnt happen very often, and dont get my wrong, its not expected either... but a girl cant help but love her flowers Natives are strong, earthy, smell wonderful and remind me of the grounding energy I crave in my life... this is what you get for a full moon posting, but its also the direction I see myself going. You will never see me decorating for its own sake. Interiors is my therapy. More to follow... soon #upstylingforwellbeing #staytuned

02.01.2022 Home sweet home... Did you know that Hermes is the patron of travel (amongst many other things )? Well, the minute I found that out I had to snap him up! A lovely memento of our adventures abroad and currently making things look pretty while I attend to unpacking... #nextholidayisabeachholiday

01.01.2022 Happy hearts and (if you look real close)... Lego monsters! A wonderful weekend

01.01.2022 Id love to say surrealist or artist in accordance with my Piscean traits, but I am most probably a REALIST... which one are you?
