25.01.2022 Ive had a bit of a break from making these past few weeks as I was feeling like it had become a chore and not something I enjoyed. So I decided to do nothing. Absolutely nothing. Trying to remember that I dont have to keep up with others and to work at my own slow pace takes practice and I think Im getting there. Last night I played around with some polka dots and then used up the left over negative space parts, and liked how they turned out more than the polka dots. The e...xperimenting and surprise at how something turns out is one of the reasons I love this medium so much and even though there are a lot of failures too, sometimes a little gem comes shining out of the darkness. How do you deal with things when it all becomes too overwhelming?

23.01.2022 Today has always been a bittersweet day for me. Losing my mum to leukaemia over 30 years ago has been tough. Even to this day. But the joys of being a mother myself have somewhat lessened the pain over the years and my heart is full even as I watch my almost 13 year old peacefully sleep, who was supposed to get up early to make me breakfast in bed and will give me all the eye rolls when I tackle hug him! . 23.01.2022 Gah! I know I say this often but Im saying it again! These are a new favourite! Swipe to see the marbly goodness that I somehow fluked! I gotta say, I adore this little side hustle I have so much and at times its all consuming and I know some of my friends and fam are sick of hearing about it but whatevs! ... 19.01.2022 A while ago I was asked by the beautiful Aaliyah from Earth Air Fire Water Organics Collective to create something signature for her gorgeous little store and these are they. They epitomise her love for antlers and are some of her favourite colours. Ive only made 3 and they will be available early next week. You wont find them anywhere else! Honestly, if youre ever in the area, or would like somewhere to visit, you must check out her amazing collective full of lots of wonderful local talent. 18.01.2022 This time 13 years ago I was hugging the toilet bowl every 5 seconds, every minute smell forcing me to purge all my insides out. Unable to sleep from the anticipation of meeting you for the first time, I was so nervous. Scared. Not knowing what to expect and feeling like I was definitely not ready to become a mum. I couldn't feel the pain, but I could feel my stomach being ripped. Pulled and torn for your safe passage through. Then you arrived. I can't even describe how my h...eart just exploded. It's a gross understatement. You were pure perfection that I had absolutely no idea what to do with! Carrying you was extremely hard and traumatic. Throwing up for the entire 9 months has scarred me for life and the shock will stay with me forever. But I would do it all over again in a heartbeat you know! For what you've taught me, my soul and spirit, is about an unconditional love that's so strong, there is no substance or material it cant obliterate. Fast forward to now and you tower over me already. Whereas once I held your head on my chest, now mine is in yours. You're a funny guy. Watching you laugh has to be one of the best things ever! Is that not the meaning of life? How you obsess and show up for the things you love is a sight to see and you also have my temper it's hilarious. You're spending your day with your dad and special lady and I love that you have yet another person who is there for you. I can't wait to see you my baby boy. Get ready for mama tears, kisses and cuddles and start rolling your eyes already! Happy 13th Birthday Nem!

02.01.2022 These are the definition of slow-made. Every square was individually cut and placed and then rolled in to create this pattern. Now theres probably an easier way to get this look, but the journey to get here is the thing I love so much about this medium. Am about to get some late night making in a moment. (Well late night for me haha) Whats everyone else doing tonight?
