19.01.2022 Coronavirus (COVID-19) Action Plan Jemma Parfitt- Remedial Massage Therapist March 13, 2020 This is a message to advise and reassure clients of Jemma Parfitt- Remedial Massage Therapist.... The health and wellbeing of my clients, community and self is my number one priority. Queensland Health along with State and Federal Government are working closely to manage and contain the impact of the virus for Australians and Queenslanders alike. As a health care provider, I already have strict hygiene and infection control policies and procedures in place. With the evolving Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation I have implemented a number of additional measures to help protect clients and staff. All clients are asked to use hand sanitizer as they arrive for all appointments. Sanitizer will be available at the entry my room and in treatment rooms. If you are feeling unwell in any way please contact me to rebook your appointment. For clients who have recently been overseas I ask that you check current travel and quarantine restrictions as advised by the Australian Government. For further information and advise on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) please see the Queensland Health website. 11.01.2022 Re-opening --- A lengthy post for my clients--- I am drawing closer to reopening at the end of 2020. It has been A YEAR. One the world will never forget, for reasons good, bad and entirely absurd. I truly am looking forward to seeing my beautiful regular clients, and potentially meeting new faces. Those most regular to me know that this year has seen a number of closures and disruptions to my business- COVID, home schooling, end of lease moving, fitting out a beautiful spa...ce with my new business partner, and most recently surgery. I am taking the time now to open up about my surgery, as I want to ensure that when you return to see me, I am truly there for you. I have had Crohn’s Disease for the majority of my life. Recently it came time for a section of my bowel to be removed and I now have a permanent colostomy. It was a planned, routine procedure; however, some complications arose and I was in hospital for 3 weeks. It fell during a time of COVID with no visitors allowed. I am physically healing well, though I am now focusing on unpacking and addressing the mental healing of my experience. I want to reassure you that this will in no way affect your treatment or ongoing care with me. I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have or discuss further with you if you wish. At the same time, I am mindful that your treatment and consultation is a space for you and your needs.
