25.01.2022 Life Drawing. Jeff. 20 mins.

23.01.2022 A year or so ago I entered this work, "Water Cools the Heat" in the #balanceforbetter International Women's Day exhibition at @Photopia Studio @Crow Street Creative. Recently I handed it over to the model who posed for it when she once more came to model for us at Life Drawing Gladstone. My artwork was based on the devastating fires in the Baffle Creek/Deepwater area where she lived, her love of nature and her strength of character. Thanks Leah Jett Chynoweth-Tidy...and thanks for the music always.

23.01.2022 My 'Tiny Tiles' workshops for Seniors Week were popular over the weekend with some wonderful creations produced using polymer clay that were then baked in the oven. Full house in my shed Little Crow Art at Crow Street Creative on Sunday with 17 participants! Thanks Andreia Pereira for your assistance and also for photos. Not too late for over 55's to book in for my free Calliope 'Tiny Tiles' workshop this Sunday 25th 1-4pm. To book contact council on 4976 6300 or email [email protected] For the full programme of activities go to https://www.gladstone.qld.gov.au/seniors-week-2019 (PS. it says bookings closed 9th Aug but its not true...)

04.01.2022 Acquired this solid metal locker a couple of years ago for free. Was a dull army green (ex QAL possibly.) I can't bear to waste art materials so whenever I use paint for my kids' classes and I have (inevitably) leftovers, when the kids have gone I add bits to my cupboard. Never had any sort of plan and just use whatever colours are at hand. We did painting this week so it's already changed since I took this pic last week. (And... forgive me for name-dropping but it previously belonged to the late brother of the tennis great Rod Laver.)

02.01.2022 On Sunday, Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama (almost) honoured Zonta International Women's Day at CQU with her presence. Many budding artists, young and old, were able to draw her (...well, her stunt double anyway. Thanks Lucy!) in all of her dotty glory! Enjoy these pics.
