16.01.2022 Owendale claudia proving once again what a reliable harness pony she is at age 20 and 4 foals later. It has been 10years since she was at a show. 2021 Qld all welsh show 1st turnout 1st junior driver... 1st lady whip 1st section b in harness Reserve champion in harness Highpoint winner 10 years since her last show and she picked it up where she left off. This is why she is the foundation for our stud. She knows her job, reliable, nothing fases her, a 10 year sit it out in the broodmare paddock she comes back and steps back out like a champion regardless of her placings... she is still a mover We had a lovely time catching up with old harness friends and everyone remembered claudia which is so special to hear people speak so fondly of her Thanks to the committee and sponsors and all our supporters today. 15.01.2022 VALE Subzero Australia's favourite racehorse passed away today; 10 weeks after his adored owner Graham Salisbury. Subbie, 32, was euthanased after experiencing ...heart failure. Bendigo Equine Hospital vet Sarah Jalim put Subbie down around 2.30pm today; the same time Graham passed away in Bendigo in June - which was also a Saturday. Racing will never have ambassadors quite like these two - the Melbourne Cup winner and the clerk of the course - and those who enjoyed their hospital, nursing home, race day and school visits will be counting themselves lucky they met this special pair. Our sympathy to Graham's wife Anita and their children Anthony and Nikki, and extended family.

06.01.2022 Here at jenala we are always on the go - with work, ponies and two toddlers This is one of our quick ideas to keeping the kids FRESH fruit intake interesting while building their fine motorskills. Fruit platter with dipping sauce and chocolate... $2 of choc topping - (we only use a small amount for dipping) this will last us a few weeks $2.50 fun size bag of flakes (we crush two in there wrapper) there are 12 fun size per bag. Seasonal fruits - we buy when on sale Today was $2.50 kilo of banana ( we used a single banana per platter) $2.50 punnet of strawberries (we slice 2 -3 per platter) $2.50 punnet of blueberries - we used 1/3 today We also purchased mandarin$2.50 but will alternate these with next platter All this cost us 14.50 - sometimes kids get no chocolate and sometimes we add fresh fruit to their yoghurt Sometimes i love to have this on my own also

I believe the good mares have a deep sense of intuition. They can read your mind. They know what you’re thinking even before you do. The good mares I know breathe fire in the face of challenge and then somehow, miraculously, know to quiet themselves when a timid child is plopped on their back for a pony ride. They are clever, cunning and calculated, which can be your greatest enemy or your saving grace. The good mares I know do not tolerate egotistical riding. They do not tolerate force. They demand tact, finesse and emotional control. But once you have won a mare’s heart, you have won all of her. In exchange for your bestand nothing lessshe will give you everything.
