Important Update: COVID-19 Jenmick Gear Cutting & Engineering remains open and we have been actively monitoring Government and World Health Organisation (WHO) advice regarding COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus). We want to take a calm and balanced approach, while implementing meaningful actions that prioritise the health and wellbeing of our people, suppliers, customers and the community. Protecting Our Customers, Our People & Our Community At Jenmick Gear Cutting & Engineering, we continue to maintain and clean by implementing recommended hygiene practices as well as undertaking additional cleaning of high touch points items throughout all facilities, such as door handles and equipment more regularly. Our staff are being regularly updated with any additional hygienic tasks suggested by the Australian Government and WHO, and are well supplied with the appropriate soaps, antibacterial wipes, and personal protective equipment. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has recommended the following hygiene tips should be practiced to minimise the spread of COVID-19: General Hygiene Tips: Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds or use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser. The virus can stay on surfaces and be picked up by hands for up to several days depending on the type of surface. Maintain social distancing Australian Government is recommending 1.5 meters, COVID-19 spreads through small moisture droplets and this distance assists minimising transfer. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth as hands touch many surfaces and this is how the virus is transferred into the body. Practice respiratory hygiene by covering your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze and disposing of tissues in the trash immediately. If you have a fever, cough or difficulty breathing, seek medical care early stay home and self-isolate if you feel unwell. Follow the directions of your local health authority.
