22.01.2022 No filter and zero care on any negative comments about my own body, my life and my journey . . Too skinny? Too muscly, too lean, too fat? Too much cellulite? Doesn’t have a 6 pack? Stomachs not flat enough? Trains too much? Doesn’t train enough? Eats too much? Doesn’t eat enough? Those carbs you’re eating they will make you fat you know? Be careful that’s got too much sugar in that for you, you’re obsessed, your tracking your food?.... eye roll eeeeeeeerrrrrrry dam ti...me I hear the same shit. My skin is so much thicker than it has ever been so when I hear comments i dam straight know that behind those comments is someone wishing they could do what you do, wishing they had the drive, the motivation and the dedication you give to yourself daily. . . The reason I’m posting this is NOT for myself or comments towards me but comments I hear daily towards other people who have made some incredible transformations physically & mentally. Humans can be so shit, instead of giving someone a positive comment they judge and give them a negative comment. Does it really hurt your soul that much to tell someone how great they are doing or how Inspiring they are for what they have achieved? . When someone is working so hard towards their goals and they get negative comments towards them, know this - the person giving the comments have no clue at what is happening behind the scenes, they have no clue at how hard they have worked to better themselves. If they are tracking their foods, good on them, praise them for looking after themselves daily and learning new skills to better their health! . . I was teaching Bodypump this morning and I felt like I could have put the bar down and cried happy tears. .... . I have spent over 13 years in the industry and I know this Connecting with humans face to face is what I love to do. I thought at one stage I would transition my business all online but I realised sitting behind a computer for endless hours a day is not enough for me. Coaching clients face to face and teaching group fitness is something that I will never stop loving because it sparks such joy for me! 18.01.2022 Today we shared our last Bodypump in the JFHF gym before @kafeywafey had to take her bar and weights back to the gym. . . Since the closer of the gyms I have witnessed this girl train more than when the gyms were even open. Maybe I made her increase her weights and she told me to get off her back I also watched her get stronger and fitter week after week. What I noticed was @kafeywafey trains because she loves it, it makes her feel good and it’s just a part of her life. I l...ove seeing this. Exercise is such a privilege for our bodies and we should appreciate what our bodies can actually do! . . 17.01.2022 Sunday night regrets? . You over ate? . Drank too much alcohol?... . Didn’t stick to your macros? . Now you’re feeling guilty and feel like you have failed? . . Guess what, you’re human. We are all humans doing the best we can each day. No one is perfect and if you are striving to be perfect I can guarantee you are not living your best life. . . There is no point in feeling guilty because you over ate, drank extra wines and had a good time with friends and family. . . Enjoy it and move forward. Tomorrow is always a new day. So drink extra water and refill the body with nutritious foods. One or two days won’t set you back but negative thoughts and regret, that shit sets you back. . Always remember you’re not the only person who over eats, enjoys extra wines and goes off track. Your trainers and coaches do it too because they are also human! I was driving home this afternoon and an RPM song came on the radio. Nothing beats a room full of members, loud music and a wicked workout! 14.01.2022 Successful reverse dieting . . The best part about my job is everyone is different. No ones body is the same and this is why I call my program coaching. I don’t take on clients who want quick fixes because I don’t believe quick fixes are sustainable. .... . @_nicolegill came to me wanting to learn more about nutrition, training & to lose body fat. After speaking with Nic I realised she definitely needed a reverse diet as she was consuming such low calories for a long period of time. We did our first 12 weeks together and during this time Nic had a few curve balls thrown her way. . . @_nicolegill had a lot on her plate but she decided she wanted to make these changes for herself and that is what she did . Nic has NEVER missed a check in. she always takes on my feedback and her results are showing every single check in. Nic was lucky to eat 1,200 calories before she started coaching and is now sitting close to 2,000 whilst dropping bodyfat. She honestly gets so excited for her check in’s and I LOVE this. The best part is Nic still gets to enjoy all her favourite foods each day with zero restrictions. Nic has worked so dam hard and I am so proud of her. I’m a huge believer in creating a balanced approach with nutrition. I enjoy all foods but I’m very aware of the foods that don’t make me feel so good. This does not mean it’s bad food. 07.01.2022 It takes time, patience and consistency to create epic results. These are not 8 or 12 week results. This is over 12 months of tracking food intake, incorporating re-feeds and diet breaks, building into maintenance calories, surplus and also small deficits whilst maintaining muscle mass. . . Training blocks are the same for around 4-5 weeks before we moved into the next phase. We have worked on periodisation training blocks with progressive overload waveloads, volume/intensit...y, supersets and tempo! @fitness_lifestyle_influencer started on 8,000 steps and the highest we have increased to is 12,000. Haydn has worked really hard BUT also maintained a balanced lifestyle so that he can still enjoy his beers, burgers and pizza too. Haydn has always been honest with his check in’s and i believe this is what creates epic results between a coach and their client. . . Always remember this no ones health & fitness journey is the same. The ones with results are the ones that put in the extra effort and create consistency to get them where they want to be. . . 06.01.2022 I was having a conversation with one of my clients from Sydney this morning who is a doctor. It really blew my mind and at the same time makes me so sad. She said Jen, did you know that for every Kilo a human puts on (that’s already overweight) this is an extra 8kgs of added pressure onto their joints . . My point of bringing this up is majority of humans want to lose weight to look good fit into certain clothes, or wear the bikini. What about our overall health? Wh...at’s happening on the inside? Joints? Liver? Kidneys? Heart? What about all of these things that actually really matter most? The things that keep you ALIVE? . . Don’t get me wrong I love feeling good in my clothes or bikini BUT I love the feeling of knowing I’m fuelling my body with nutritious foods, hitting my fibre target to have a better digestive system, hitting a step target to keep active when I’ve sat at a desk most of the day, drank enough water to keep myself hydrated and the list goes on. . . Instead of stressing about counting calories, going into a gym and feeling anxious- how’s about we start by adding extra water into your day. Instead of sleeping in go for a 10min walk to start your day and increase this each day or week? Ensure you are getting a decent amount of fresh wholesome foods into your day with a protein source in each meal. These small steps can make the biggest difference in your life. I feel these days people over complicate health & fitness when really we just have to start with the basics and as these become your daily habits we start adding more in like - running, cycling, swimming, joining a gym, training with a personal trainer... the list goes on! . . I want to know how did you got started on your health journey and how long have you been committed to your own health for now? 03.01.2022 HAPPY #1 YEAR TO US . . One year ago @chelseacarys got dragged along by a friend to my nutrition seminar and the rest is history .... . There has been highs, lows, tears, laughter, angry sessions, funny sessions and some hectic fit as F.... sessions too! . . @chelseacarys gives every single session 110%. I love this about her. She never ever takes training for granted. She thrives off a challenge and I love this about her. She is definition of balance. Loves to train hard but also loves to party hard too ( soz had to be honest Chels ). I’m always yelling at her for forgetting to check in but she knows it’s because I want the best for her. As you can see these results are epic and this has come from knowledge of training and nutrition. I have given her the tools and she has applied them. She always takes on my feedback even if she rolls her eyes at me (or behind the computer screen and says yes mum ). . . What she doesn’t realise is that she inspires me every session because being FIT AS Fuck is hard work and when I see hard work being done that inspires me! . . 03.01.2022 Simple yet effective training! . . E.M.O.M = Every minute on the minute ... Minute 1 - 10 cals on airdyne . Minute 2 - 10 x Burpees flat to floor . Minute 3 - 10 x mountain climbers each leg . Minute 4 - 10 x Sit ups . . Once you finish your exercise in that minute time frame you rest until the next minute starts for the next exercise. Once you finish each exercise that is one whole round. Complete 8-10 rounds . . Trust me, don’t underestimate a good EMON session.
