25.01.2022 Hi guys I've created a group for mums that I would love you to join! I dont have a lot of you on my personal friends list so I cant invite you to join but if you search Ballarat mums fitness you will find it! I'm getting close to being booked out but would still love to support and help more mums along in their fitness journeys so I thought I would create this group for mums to share health and fitness related questions, goals, achievements etc. This is in no way related to my page but I will be posting to the group as a mum and will answer any questions anyone needs help with!

20.01.2022 Just because it's common, doesnt mean it's normal. Only 2% of mums exercise their pelvic floor daily - Even though you might not experience any symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction you could still have it. - You can have an overactive/hypertonic pelvic floor which you might think is a good thing but that can also cause problems in the future. - You might not be doing your pelvic floor exercises correctly which can cause a lot of pressure on your pelvic floor, weakening it. Do your pelvic floor exercises everyday and if your not sure you are doing them well, then see a womens health physio that will be able to help you! #pelvicfloor #postnatalfitness #womenshealthphysio #fitmums #continence #strongontheinside

14.01.2022 My own story You CAN be fit, strong, healthy and happy after babies During my 2nd pregnancy i had a crazy 3 year old to look after while my partner flew away to work, I was sick, i couldn't exercise anymore, I didn't eat well at all and I was sad because I had so many ideas of how fit I would stay this pregnancy and how it was all going to go and none of it worked out. The birth was just as bad! I had a really quick birth and severe tearing. My recovery was a lot wors...e and longer than my previous csec. I would cry almost daily and I was so angry at how everything turned out. The first year I was scared to exercise, id heard so many stories of women like me that ended up with incontinence, prolapse etc and after a few trips to different doctors, gynos and women's health physios all telling me there was nothing wrong with me and I should go ahead, I started exercising 12 months pp when I took the middle picture. I have slowly built up my strength over the last two years. I was upset that I couldn't have my 6 week check and head into the gym like everyone else seemed to be doing but I am greatful that I was careful, informed and learnt to build my strength from the inside out, so I have the confidence to run, jump and lift heavy knowing my pelvic floor is strong and I can sit up, plank and push up with no diastasis. My journey was slow but that's what my body needed and all mums should know that their bodies and journeys will all be different too with different time lines and needs. I am stronger and fitter now than I was before babies and I'm so excited to be helping other mums realise they can be too! *These are not at all a dramatic change over a few years but you cant see in pictures the changes in strength, fitness, mind, muscle and overall happiness that exercise can give you See more
