24.01.2022 Gorgeous roses and two lovebirds in New Farm Park. Not the couple I've just married. I believe they might be curlews? #newfarmpark #roses #lovebirds #elopement #mondaywedding #theinclusivecelebrant #brisbanemarriagecelebrant

23.01.2022 When you dare to be true to yourselves, magic happens. The photos are fabulous and no-one is upstaging anyone.

23.01.2022 Hows this for a unique proposal?

23.01.2022 With the on-again, off-again nature of COVID-19 wedding restrictions seeming set to continue for quite some time, planning a spontaneous wedding is gaining appeal. Im definitely up for it ... https://www.jennifercram.com.au/BLOG/spontaneous_wedding.htm

22.01.2022 Happy Hobbit Day. Today we celebrate the birthdays of Frodo and Bilbo Baggins. Usually celebrated by Tolkien fans with feasts! Given the central role rings play in The Hobbit and in Lord of the Rings, as well as both the "Unexpected Party" and the "Long-Expected Party", it would seem a good day to do some hopeful wedding planning. Maybe a Hobbit/Lord of the rings theme? Or just borrow some bits and pieces - barefoot, fonts (there are 15 free fonts with hobbit influences), and quotes about the rings - forged in the fires of love and not easily destroyed. Oh, and as The Inclusive Celebrant I welcome everyone, including elves and hobbits! #hobbitday #lordoftherings #themedwedding #theinclusivecelebrant #brisbanemarriagecelebrant #jennifercraminclusivecelebrant

20.01.2022 Keep up to date with current restrictions for weddings and funerals via the Australian Government Health Direct Website. Youll need to click on your state for the details. https://www.healthdirect.gov.au//weddings-funerals-religio Other types of ceremonies and celebrations (for example naming ceremonies) are classified as gatherings. https://www.healthdirect.gov.au/covid19/gatherings-and-work

20.01.2022 The kindest thing one can say about the rules and restrictions around weddings at the moment is that it is a moveable feast! For very good reasons - we are trying to limit the number of infections and consequent long term health problems, including death - those rules and restrictions can change in a heartbeat, and it is often hard to work out what you can and cant do. So Ive written a number of blog posts addressing various aspects of ceremonies under restrictions. Youll find them listed here https://www.jennifercram.com.au//blog_coronavirus_covid-19

20.01.2022 Find a tree. A big tree. An old tree. A tree with sheltering branches. A tree with an interesting trunk. And youve found the perfect spot to say " We Do" in the company of a few good friends. Simple as that.

19.01.2022 Ouch. #RiskAssessmentFail

19.01.2022 A piece of history and a fine example of a sporran

18.01.2022 I spent Fathers Day doing what I love best, marrying a very sweet couple. The extra pleasure of the day came from * being able to finally get them married after a protracted wait for granting of the brides visa * being undercover but right at the waters edge, even though it was low tide * working with a great photographer Rebecca from Rebecca Williams Photography * being able to "talk" to the brides mother in Belarus via the video being shot to send to her (well, it was ...rather more "at" than "to" because it is asynchronous, but I always feel good about being able, in some way, to include people who cant be present, particularly with all the extra barriers anyone overseas faces at the moment). * a warm and loving atmosphere as the couple shared their day with close family * the seamless way everyone accepted the new normal of hand sanitiser, separate pens and social distancing * the use of a vintage ring dish (courtesy of the grooms lovely mother) for presentation of the rings

18.01.2022 Its ego-boosting to have ones expertise acknowledged internationally. Another instance of me being quoted by an American journalist!

14.01.2022 When your celebrant is pregnant. ... what a story.

13.01.2022 Simple, elegant, and a powerful statement. Some interesting facts about this statue - which you can see on Wall Street in the financial district of New York City, opposite the New York Stock Exchange ~ bronze sculpture four feet tall (122 cm) by Kristen Visbal... ~ while it depicts female empowerment, it was commissioned for commercial reasons - to advertise an index fund that is made up of gender-diverse companies with a "relatively" high percentage of women in senior positions ~ When installed in its original place, it had a plaque which read ""Know the power of women in leadership. SHE makes a difference," "SHE" being not only the pronoun but also the fund's NASDAQ ticker symbol. ~it was moved from its original position, facing down the Charging Bull statue after complaints by the sculptor of the bull statue. #fearlessgirl #rbg #notoriousrbg #theinclusivecelebrant #inclusivecelebrant #inclusivecekebrantbrisbane

02.01.2022 Many so-called wedding rules are traditions have become quite tyrannical, with wide spread belief that you have to include them in a wedding in order to be properly married. I call these "the dirty dozen" for obvious reasons. You can safely kick them to the curb! https://www.jennifercram.com.au//wedding_rules_to_ignore.h

01.01.2022 I suspect shes using "Tinder" as a generic term for "hook-up" in the same way people use "Kleenex" when talking about tissues in general.
