10.01.2022 Lockridge Community Garden free gardening workshops and morning tea suitable for all ages. You will need to book please go to the Lockridge Community Garden facebook page for more information. The first called How to Start a Garden on a Budget will be held this Saturday 19 September, 10am - 12 noon. The second called ‘Tomatoes, chillies and more’ will be held on Saturday 3 October, 10am - 12 noon... with the third with a date to be announced will be on ‘The good, the bad and the ugly’ Creepy crawlies, beneficial insects, integrated pest management and insect hotels

07.01.2022 Altone Ward ratepayers - Andrew Kiely and I voted all the way for no rate increase this year. Right up to the meeting last Wednesday we worked with the City of Swan staff to come up with a budget that would cut spending and keep rates down and still retain the economic stimulus. We believed we had the right balance between cutting expenditure and still providing for jobs and your council services as well as putting a little bit back into your household budget. Even though the majority of Councillors did not vote with us this time, we remain committed to keeping your rates down in the future. 06.01.2022 Hagart Park Lockridge - there are plenty of children playing under the new shade sails. It was great to meet their parents who have requested a water fountain and doggie litter bags to complete the facilities. I totally agree and have already forwarded that request.
