24.01.2022 Earlier this year I was honoured to make the Rebecca Wilson Shield for the Sydney University Boat Club, in honour of sports journalist Rebecca Wilson who very sadly died far too young from breast cancer in 2016. Here is the work a various stages, from clay through to silver plated bronze.
23.01.2022 I am delighted to have been asked to speak at the Phee Broadway Theatre, Castlemaine, on Sunday 16 June, 2.00pm - 4.00pm, about my experiences that led me from ...portrait sculpting to reconstructing the face of an Ancient Egyptian. The afternoon will be hosted by the Castlemaine VIEW Club with all funds raised going to The Smith Family who provides long-term educational support for children and young people in need. If you are able to come I would love to see you there! For tickets please call Heather 0417003444 See more
14.01.2022 I recently did some more training in Forensic Facial Reconstruction Sculpture with world renowned expert in this field, Karen T Taylor. The training was at the Forensic Anthropology Center of Texas State University and I also met an amazing group of fellow artists. This is my reconstruction of a five year old girl.
07.01.2022 This photo was taken during the filming of a TV show in 2017 about our forensic facial reconstruction of an ancient Egyptian Meritamun...it shows me with each stage of the reconstruction including the 3D printed skull, the reconstructed clay face, and that face cast in resin and finished with hair and paint for displaying at the Harry Brookes Allen Museum of Anatomy and Pathology at the University of Melbourne...I'm also fiddling with a lump of clay while I'm talking!
