08.01.2022 In these crazy Corona times, Ive been contemplating what I can offer in addition to our usual lessons to keep us all singing and learning. Well, my Instagram survey has spoken, and the overwhelming response was a group vocal technique class! Shows and auditions may have disappeared for now, but that makes it the perfect time to remind ourselves why we love singing and to sing for JOY, so that were ready to meet the market when things return. By the end of this class, youl...l hopefully feel good, know more about how your voice works and discover that vocal technique is much more fun than textbooks make it. WHAT: Group Vocal Technique Class with Jen. A 60-minute class where Ill guide you through a full vocal warm-up of practical exercises as we dig deeper into technique (alignment, breathing, resonance, registration, basic anatomy, vocal health). Finished off with a Q&A. WHEN: THIS Wednesday 22nd April 6pm-7pm AEST Sydney timezone. (Thats 9am for mates in the UK) WHERE: Live on Zoom. Register here: https://zoom.us//regi/tJEkduigrTstGtJHw8s74OykRb_v6xR_NreI After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. DONATE: This is a free class. If youd like to donate, please go to PayPal.me/JenniferPeers. If you cant donate but want to help, then spreading the word and sharing with your friends would also be much appreciated! All are welcome. This class is limited to 100 places, so if youre keen please register ASAP so you dont miss out! x Jen

03.01.2022 Must-read article. I FaceTimed my dear friend Claire Louise Lyon (currently playing Christine in South Korea) about this a couple of weeks ago and it is amazing how they are responding to the situation. Gives me much hope for the future of Australian theatre when our infection rates are more comparable to South Korea than the US and UK.
